1) How Shola managed to walk around a pitch for 90 minutes and not get subbed is beyond me.
2) How Pardew thinks the high line and hoofball is a good idea is again, beyond me.
3) Changing our formation was an awful decision, we were doing brilliantly until then.

If this would've been posted at half time, everyone would have 8's. We were top class in the first half.
Krul - 3. A very poor game by his standards
Simpson - 5 Didn't do alot, poor defensively but a couple of good crosses put in.
Williamson - 4 What the **** was that tackle for the second penalty. Slow, sluggish and weak.
Coloccini - 5 Poor by his standards. For once, poor defensively.
Santon - 5 Was brilliant in the first half, that yellow pretty much put him out of the game.
Ben Arfa - 8 One of our stand out performers. a few misplaced passes but a good goal and assist.
Guthrie - 6 Scored a screamer, but otherwise misplaced way too many passes
Cabaye - 5 Looks like he's still carrying that knock. Was a bit useless once we started playing hoofball
Gutierrez- 8 Played brilliantly, looks even better in the free role
Best - 5 Disappeared for a little bit, didnt have alot to do
Shola - 2 did **** all. Took a nice gentle stroll, offered nothing to the team.

Krul - 5 - Didn't have much to do, but let in 5 so rating can't be high

Simpson - 6 - Did nothing wrong
Willo - 5 - Poor, usually a good player though
Colo - 5 - Good for majority of game, but part of defence that let in 5. Their goals came from the centre so they need to improve from this
Santon - 7 - Had a good game

Ben Arfa - 8 - Outstanding goal, outstanding performance, outstanding footballer
Guthrie - 7 - Great goal and did really well imo
Cabaye - 6 - Not a great performance
Jonas - 7 - Great first half, second not so much

Best - 6 - Not great
Shola - 5 - We all know he is not good

Perch - 6 - Odd decent thing when he came on
Gosling - 6 - Didn't have much time to do anything
Raylor - 6 - Same as Gosling

We missed Tiote today. He would have stopped them playing. It should be Cabaye or Guthrie in centre midfield alongside a more defensive player.

Coloccini - 7 : Surprisingly good game despite letting 5 goals go by.
Santon - 6 : Great first half, should have been off though and looked nervous all second half.
Simpson - 4 : Poor.
Williamson - 5 : Mediocre/poor.
Cabaye - 6 : Good first half, poor second.
Guthrie - 7.5 : Brilliant goal and great passing.
Ben Arfa - 7.5 : Fantastic skill, some duff passes but brilliant goal.
Gutierrez - 8 : Brilliant game, worked his socks off for the full 95.
Best - 5 : Some half decent play but mostly invisible.
Ameobi - 0 : Please, just leave. If you love Newcastle United - retire.

Willo 2 - Worst game he's ever had, but he'll be back

Very disappointing against an average team like fulham who we should be beating easily.

Very strange game - I truly believe with Ba you would of been 3-0 up at halftime and it would of been game over.

Although I wanted Newcastle to win - It was a great game for the neutral

Colo and Willo should both be getting 0s based on that second half performance.

 

I was basing it on the whole game though, obviously..

I thought Colo's first half was an 8.5, he wasn't even all that bad in the second either.

 

It is stupid to blame Pardew or Ameobi, it was the defense that turned to **** and it was the officials who gave Fulham a way back into the game we had been dominating.

Just one of those games really, just have to take it on the chin and move on.

2nd half - 1 all round apart from HBA.

That goes for Pardew as well. Didnt react to Andy Johnson on the pitch WHATSOEVER!!!! High line?!!!!!!!

Is this game worth rating?
There was such a difference in performance between the first and the second half it's hard to give the players credit for how they started the game.
I'd give most of them a 4 but that's only based upon the first 20 mins of the second half, up until I stopped watching

 

Krul - 5: Let down by shocking defending really. Two pens conceded, two one-one-ones against a player under no pressure, and Dempsey bundling in a rebound.
Simpson - 6: Fairly solid, none of our problems came from his area, it was always down the left or through the middle
Williamson - 3: The fourth goal in particular was Bramble-esque, he couldn't even stop Johnson by fouling him.
Coloccini - 4: Missed a sitter, not as bad defensively as Willo and Santon
Santon - 3: Good first 40 mins. Lucky not to be sent off at the end of the first half, even luckier not to be sent off at the start of the second considering he'd already been booked. Triggered the implosion.
Jonas - 7: Unplayable first half, struggled to impose himself second.
Cabaye - 5: Too easily dominated in the second half.
Guthrie - 6: Same as Cabaye but scored a cracking goal.
Ben Arfa - 6: Same as Guthrie.
Best - 3: Ineffective
Shola - 2: Ineffective and constantly offside.

Duff's conduct was disgraceful, I wish someone broke the bastards legs for acting like he did, ****ing prick. The ref needs to be ****ing stoned to death aswell, how the **** were those two penalties?

Anyway lets just address the issues on the training ground and then forget this game ever happened and quickly move on by thrashing Brighton.

You must admit it, it was a very weird game. Reminded me of when you beat us 4-1 at St James' a few years back. We dominated and got hammered.

 

That's football. We were awful first half, Jol lit a fire up under them and changed tactics, it worked. There hasn't been one comment on your board giving credit where credit is due, a real shame.

 

I gave Dempsey credit. He is a great player.

You scoring 5 was mainly down to us having a high line with slow defenders. Don't get what that's all about.

But, suppose if you score 5 then you have to be given credit, so well done!
