What is it with Pardew and a high line. West Brom was the perfect example from Pardew to learn from and he clearly hasn't at all. Pace is the one thing our defence cannot cope with, yet he refuses to adapt his system when we come up against it. The second half was just one big tactical mess today and his substitutions (which were far too late) where absolutely shocking.

But didnt Arsenal go on a bad run after that? Fair enough Man U came back but they player poorly winning something like 6 games 1-0, we can thank our lucky stars it Blackburn and not a top 4 side next in the league, the faster the ACON players come back the better.

the only fault was shola in the team other than that we played well, if fulham weren't given the game and then could feel all relaxed whilst they piss around, they did nothing, we didn't do badly, but we also can't do anything against the referee clearly being biast or ****ing ******ed.

Only consolation of the day so far is that Stoke lost.

The line didn't look that high when Santon needlessly shoved Duff in the back. We were winning at that point and conceded four goals in the next 16 minutes. How the hell was he supposed to pre-empt that kind of implosion?

High line + long ball = desperation from the players.

Nothing to do with Pardew. I imagine there's a lot of anger on his part in that dressing room right now.

Mate the likes of Sky and TalkSport encourage people to make kneejerk reactions towards players, results and managers. Every bad result you've got people phoning and demanding X manager be sacked then when you win you've got the same people phoning up calling the manager a tactical genius.

It's the new Sky culture, the guy who shouts the loudest gets heard as opposed to the one who talks most sense.

Couldn't agree more. Im calming down now. Watching that was hard but its over. **** it, move on. This reality check is a good thing. No reason to be too worried, If it happens next game then we can worry but I trust Pardiola to have learnt alot from this. Wouldnt fancy being in that dressing room now though. Hope Pards takes at least some of the blame.

beaten by pace again .. and I agree with the high line not being suited to our defenders. Felt Santon hada poor game today - could have been even worse if he was sent off first half.
I agree that Shoala does so very little, yes he scored against spurs, but every game since then he is not offering anything.

Well played Guthrie Ben Arfa and Guti I felt today...

    Gutted all the same.

You don't, but you also don't sit on your hands doing naff all, and leaving the defence to play a stupidly high line. It's not the first time he thought slow central defence + high line vs fast attackers = good idea. He needs to learn from his costly mistakes.
