I hate to say it but with Bendtner off we have lost the ability to hold the ball as well as we were, glas Sess is playing well but is starting to get isolated.
We really need to step up the tempo in the 2nd half, squeeze them into their half, they are going to make a mistake under pressure if they keep the GK/defence passing thing going on. Swansea are good to watch but they need to be more clynical......hopefully that doesnt start today :)

Well, that was thoroughly depressing. Not sure we've played that badly in a while...credit to Sunderland they were solid enough.

PS. Agree - not sure we were "ruffed up" one bad two footed sliding tackle that didn't make contact was the only real nasty tackle in the game

Sinclair is costing us this season. He is failing to bury good chances and is creating very little.

He's a greedy little bu66er that runs into defenders - must drive Graham & Dyer insane playing alongside him. Bardsley made him look like right numpty today.

we expected a bump after arsenal but apart from the usual good possesion we didnt look like scoring, it took 2 wonder goals against run of play to beat us and sinclair is not the player he was lately since he got that unlucky stupid hair cut ! nevermind they will bounce back .well done sunderland thug tactics worked and a win is all that counts at the end of the day.

We were pants today. Absolute pants. Thank God for Bardo and two wonder goals.
Swansea remind me of a lovely blonde I used to know. Great to look at but ultimately going nee where.

In summary. We were ****. Three points.....Get in.

Swansea deserved something from the game, they gave us more scares than Man City did.

But we deserved something against Chelsea, so its just the world balancing itself out.....

The only thing to say in our defence, is that Wickham didnt look ready to play a full 80 minutes. If Bendter had stayed on, i dont think we would have been pegged back as much.

Not just Bardsley but any full back he has come up against this season!! Cant understand why Rodgers is sticking with him so much, expecially after Routledge had a great game V Villa at the beginning of the month!! Lashed wildly at two great chances today when he had time to try and place it and give the ball away cheaply with a **** attempt of a back heel pass which led to the brak for Sunderland second goal.

Absolutely no idea why papers are saying he could play Internationally. Think very much that the Championship is the only place he will be brilliant...baring his penalty taking, that is world class.

Whats this thug tactics tripe? You dont have to emulate arsenal in every way, so stop this sore loser bull****.

No yellow cards given, no injuries except Bendtner getting kicked in the face by a Swansea player. Cattermole didnt make one bad challenge!

Larsson tackle was dangerous, but he did, luckily, take the ball.

We soaked up the pressure, you couldnt score and we hit you on the counter. No bullying anywhere.

Edit: and how many times did you push Sess around? every time he got the ball you tried to push him over. You lot were being just as physical as us.

Bardsely was MOM by miles. Had Routledge in his pocket too when he came on having seen of the very ineffective Sinclair. An outstanding display.

So how does a team outplay and outclass the opposition but lose 2-0? Answer: When the opposition take their chances and you don't. We need to create on average 5 or 6 chances to get near to scoring.

We played a pi55-poor Sunderland side of the park. Their own fans were screaming at them at times it was that bad, but the mark of the established Prem teams is that they do take their chances. We need to learn that lesson.

Just got back from the game - Swans you play some bonny football but in all honesty look toothless.

The Sawns folks saying we were thugs need to get a grip - I saw one bad tackle in the whole game... maybe you need to start watching a better stream as the one you're watching is clearly distorted!

Poor performance by us... it was like we bought into some of the pre-game bullshit about Swanse being the new Barca. Good to get three points despite a poor showing. Both goals were excellent - Sess's was sublime.

Get real and take your oil, if you think thats thug tactics you don't watch to much premiership football. Stoke/Blackburn/Bolton and a view others will really show you what tough commited (not thug) tactics are all about. This is the premiership and your playing against the big boys now which means having to man up and mix it.
