As you all have acknowledged primarily from my articles and comments on here that I'm a huge fan of Lindegaard. With that being said, I will not lean to one side in this article.

I think it's safe at this stage to say that Fergie has managed to obtain the services of two decent goalkeepers to replace our historical legend, Van Der Sar.

I've had numerous discussions with friends and family members on who should start in between the sticks if we were to reach a final. As I somewhat expected, 50/50 was virtually the split with arguments for and against both goalkeepers.

With that in mind, Lindegaard seems to have settled a lot better than de Gea and seemingly no evident language barrier exists. He also doesn't receive the sort of media attention de Gea receives. Maybe, he should be our first-choice?

Some may argue that he's been here longer than de Gea and doesn't receive as much media attention as de Gea because of his price tag or name in the game. But, that's no excuse in my opinion.

De Gea has made 18 appearances for us this season so far. We have won 11 of the 18 matches de Gea has played in, a win percentage just over 61%. David has only managed to keep 6 clean sheets this season. Pretty poor to be honest. He hass played in virtually all the ‘big’ matches, including the Community Shield win over Man City, League games against Chelsea, Liverpool, Arsenal and the 1 - 6 humiliation game.

On the other hand, Lindegaard has pretty much been playing second choice for Fergie, having played only 7 games for us this season. Lindegaard's biggest game was against Benfica in the Champions League. With Andres in between the sticks, we have come away with away with the points on 6 occasions with the other being a draw.

So, who would you start in goal?

Lindegaard has played ten games for us this season, including the 3-0 defeat to Newcastle.

Blatant factual errors aside, Lindegaard seems more consistent, but De Gea is more talented. If De Gea can sort out his errors, which apparently may be down to his vision, then he'll be a better keeper. Right now I think Lindegaard needs to be starting bigger games, but De Gea should get a chance in the games we are strong favourites in.

De Gea has the potential to be the best keeper in the world IMO, but looks a little uncertain at times, where as Lindengaard has look more assured. I'd start Lindengaard for the time being, but eventually De Gea will be our number one.

De Gea has made 14 PL appearances with 5 Clean sheets, most of them were as you said hard games.

Joe Hart has made 21 appearances and 9 clean sheets. Brad Friedel has 8 clean sheets in 21 apps.

Obviously De Geas record isn't as good as the other two, but its comparable 2.33/2.62/2.8 and nowhere near as bad as some people make out. He's just prone to the occasional brain fart, but he's young and will only improve.

This is a good point. Reina is also 8 in 21 and Cech is 5 in 19, and both of those have made just as many mistakes as De Gea this season despite being much more experienced. Just gotta hope De Gea keeps his confidence and in a couple of years he could be the best in the PL <ok>

I think De Gea is having surgery so it will be Lindegaard, and you say 1 has made 18 Apps and the other has made 7 apps so who has featured in the other 7 games as we have played 32 games this season

Hizmo is wrong. Lindegaard has played 10 times, De Gea 19 and Amos the other 3.

Thanks for the correction, it was a rough estimation of how many games they both featured in <ok>
