Billy's was going on about Getting Mon'sMush to play the Clash in one of his DJing sets last night, They are still one of my Favourite bands of all time. Which brings me to the subject of this thread, Who, where and when was your first ever gig? Mine was the aforementioned Clash as a 13 yr old Punk playing at the Newcastle City Halls on 14th July 1982 it was a reshceduled gig after Strummer disappeared of to France earlier on that year. Remember Jumping the Metro to get back to Wallsend backing the day when they had barriers.

Mine was Stevie Winwood at the theatre royal in Newcastle, my dad goes all over the world to see him (and Clapton) even to this day. (obviously my dad took me, probably about 12 at the time)

Only ever been to one proper concert. My childhood idols.

Madness, Madstock in Finsbury Park (1992 I think)
It made the news for causing a earthquake in the London area during One Step Beyond.

Aye, 11 years old mate. Four of us went, lads I'd grew up with. My dad was dead against it but he'd recently had a rather large win on the horses so I told him if he didn't I'd tell my mam about it. That clinched the deal.

I was a right little Henry Kissinger back then. Dad gave me a fiver to go with too. LOL.

The Jam. City Hall 1977. 13 years old and still the greatest live gig I've ever been to.

Nearly 35 years on and they are still the greatest band that there has ever been by a complete universe.
