Quel <ok> Midnight Game is very interesting would like to see him win that. I really rate Allure Of Illusion who was beaten by Joxer. He was badly hampered in that race and it certainly cost him victory.

What do you think of OUR GIRL SALLEY ?

Got a few fancies tomorrow but main one is Gauvain who I can see being backed from a best price 8/1 currently... Let's hope there are no non-runners!!
In the 2:35 I like the chances of ciceron and royal charm who was at a top price of 10/1 and that rates good value with ruby on top!!
In the 3:45 I am again sticking with the nick Williams nag of zaynar again was as big as 11/2 earlier today. One who could run a decent race at a good price is gilbarry at 25s. I also think all for free has a great chance and is currently available at 6s!
Over at haydock I really rate cinders and ashes and hope it dots up!

Just got back in from picking my girlfriend up from a boozy night out with her friends. She's told me a story about a car seat not being in the right position on the way home. Funny how listening to your mrs drone on about crap can totally ruin the mood isn't it?

    Our Girl Salley RV....

I think she's a been given too high a mark for what she's done. Just watched the race against Mikael D'haguenet again and looking at the way the winner won I can't believe he ran up to his rating which would lead me to think she's been a bit unfairly treated with the 137 rating. It's either that or Mikael is back with a bang because I thought the way he basically told them all to eff off was really impressive. It'll be hard to win with the additional 5lbs she has to lug around the course. If it was a dead 8 runners I'd be interested in Kaffie each way but it isn't so i'm not.

Al Ferof is 7.6 on Betfair for the Arkle. If he isn't competitive enough tomorrow I'd have thought he'd go down the Arkle route instead of the Champion Chase which I think makes 7.6 quite appealing for anyone who fancies hi. Peddlers fro me but just thought i'd mention it for Al Ferof fans.

    3.45 Ascot

    Tatenen 14/1

Was on him last year when landing this race off only a 6lb lower mark and I really can't desert him as it looks like he's been targeted at this race again for quite a while. Last year he jumped supremely well and won very stylishly by 16L under tomorrow's pilot Andrew Thornton and there was so much to like about that effort, although the form of that race has worked out absolutely awfully. Tatenen has only had 3 races subsequently in Grade 3 races. The first 2 came in the 2 months proceeding his victory at Cheltenham including at the Festival where he was well beaten in both and his last run came at the same track where I thought it was a very encouraging effort.

Just over a month ago Tatenen put in a very gutsy and eye catching effort to me on the back of a 9 month break. Richard Rowe's relatively unexposed 9 year old travelled and jumped pretty well for most of the race but faded in the latter stages of the race to finish 7th and I certainly think he'll be all the better for that run, although he overcame a 10 month break earlier in his career when trained by Paul Nicholls. He's been dropped a further 2lb for this effort and in terms of racing weight only has to carry 4lb more on his back this year. Last year Tatenen put a string of poor performances behind him to land this event so his apparent lack of form is not a concern to me at all.

Trainer Richard Rowe has his stable in decent nick and has already notched up a couple of wins this year which is an obvious advantage for Tatenen's chances tomorrow. Although this year's renewal looks stronger then last years race, if Tatenen puts together a similar performance tomorrow then he should be very hard to beat off only a 6lb higher mark and as I envisage this has been target for quite a while he should be in top nick to make a bold bid to defend his title under similar ground conditions.

I like Our Girl Salley but not convinced 3 miles round Ascot is what she wants, 2m to 2 1/2 for me. Obviously her 26 lengths 6th to Knockfierna would give her outstanding form claims in any race but lets not forget, she is no Knockfierna.

The Lavelle horse will probly take a bit of beating but not a race I will be involved in, would like to see Salley win though.

Two for me tomorrow, Finians Rainbow 5/2 and I will be looking for a bit of 7/2 about Lockantanks at Lingfield, improving horse and Winston will have a hard time from stall 7 on Clockmaker who is the only real danger in my book.

Were going to see the 2012 supreme novice winner tomorrow in distant memories. Its either going to go one of two ways he's either going to be the next hurricane fly or the next dunguib since it looked like he was struggling to hurdle effectively. Anyway here's to hoping that he improves!

Morning all, debut on DT but recently joined up so I thought I'd throw my selections into the ring.
Haydock, Peter Marsh - According to Pete 13/2, this fellow seems to relish swamp like conditions only finishing out of the places on 1 occasion in heavy ground (and that was 3rd in 7 runner affair). Price wise has tipped it up though so some of the value has gone. Nap
Others I think will give me a good run for my money are Pateese (10/1) and Noland (11/2) at Ascot. The latter running a decent enough race lto over in Ireland. Chucked them all together in an ew patent.
Final speculative punt on Sheena West's Brilliant Barca at Ascot. I follow this trainer who enjoys a great strike rate.
    Good luck to all
