...watch the Keegan rant, Liverpool 4-3 then Blackburn 2-1 followed by the Premier League 95/96 season review on YouTube....

    Why do I do it?

How the **** did we not win the league that year? 12 points with 15 games left. F*ck me. B*stard Schmeichel, Cantona, Cole, Fowler, Collymore, Fenton (not the dog), Ian Woan and unbelievably...John Beresford. You wouldnt believe how sh*t he was in those big games. If you can stomach it, just look at the goals conceded from the left back area. Their's nobody f*cking there!

Nice way to depress yourself before the weekend. Is weird watching that back, you feel pride and a sense of glory at how awesome we were but at the same time a sense heartbreaking empty defeat. Also puts this season's 'achievements' so far in a jar of mediocrity....we really aiming for 7th?!

Get the FA Cup won and Champions League football back!

    (Ive not gone Geordie delusional...honest)

Or you could drop a brick on your foot and have to stay at home as all your mates go out (guess whos done that then:()

But as for that season i don't think i could bear to watch any of it again. I was really young at the time and was angry even then

<laugh> Sadly I've tried that and it didn't really help as much as you'd think

I was 11 at the time and actually remember vividly where I was when we played Man City away, Man U home, Liverpool away, Blackburn away.

Its proper weird. Its like that season was the biggest absolute mental drug trip of all time with a massive come down when it finished.

    Crazy days.

    Love Keegan. Love it.

Well, we're Geordies and therefore born losers, and quite comfortable with the fact. I'm afraid I've had that attitude for rather a long time.

If we had won the league, we would have been a quite different club, but would we have been as likeable? I realy don't know.

My no.1 thought about it all was...what club would Man Utd be? Blackburn won it year before, we win it. Probably win it again with Shearer and the knowledge and confidence of winning it.

All those 'kids' may have been held back by Fergie with new signings and who knows.....he might have got sacked.

..but there you go. History is exactly that.

Remember the first 4-3 against Liverpool absolutely gutted - too many Peronis and beginning to feel a little depressed now, so time for Toon 5 - 0 Manure followed by Toon 3-0 Manure followed by more Peronis!
