Loads of Geordies are also Sunderland fans, but if we are talking about the Skunks variety, I would say just let them carry on with their delusions of grandeur, because ir will be all the sweeter if/when it all goes tits up for them...

There's a couple of Mags at work who I talk to. When they start banging on about Being in the Champions League, Cup finals etc... I just point out to them that that was years aggo and politely advise them to stop living in the past. They've not much comeback to that.
