    Mmmmmm that looks good.

Seriously though, I wish we'd do that. Abeid and Gosling on for Raylor and Vuckic after 70 mins, Shola for Best 80 mins.

We all know he's going to start.

If we play long ball tomorrow after the shambles against QPR then Fulham are going to smash us. If QPR had a Dempsey or Zamora type player who could actually finish they would have run away with the game.

You don't try out wacky formations away from home though, especially with standins in so many places. I know we had the forced version of that at the weekend, but we only created one shot on target. Stick to 4 4 2 ish, keep it tight and get a result. I'd be tempted to try something similar when everyone's fit, but packing the midfield when we're missing out two best ones doesn't appeal to me.

Sorry but nobody can pretend we have not been starting off playing direct football for the last few weeks. That's just B&W spectacles. Pardew has admitted it, and Ben Arfa has confirmed it! Its no secret, and I've seen it with my own eyes. You're pointing to the QPR goal, but that only came after things changed because of injury. We only started playing that way because Benni entered the fray. Pardew himself said he was going to change our style of play prior to the injury anyway because the direct stuff wasn't working. I think Pards has it wrong and our squad is still better suited to playing proper football regardless who's missing but it is hard to argue with the results. For me Cabaye, Guthrie, Santon, Colo, Cabaye, Benni, Jonas, Best are all suited to a footballing style of play.

I am biased of course because I find long ball turgid to watch.

He doesn't deserve to start. The only reason why he plays, and has done so for the last decade (I can't believe its been that long, I truely can't) is because he has compiled a secret Dossier on previous managers and has various scandalous pictures including all night drug binges of Roeder, Allardyce outside the front gates of a primary school with his phallus between the bars frothing at the mouth and hughton involved in a bizarre sex act with Xisco and a toilet plunger

Shola plays best under pressure - i.e. new striker arriving. I predict a Shola brace. <whistle>

It's more of a 4-5-1 though with the ability to go into a 4-3-3

To be honest I don't think he should.

I am one of the few that like Shola, but his last game he just stood there! I think we'd be better off witgh Sammy (fit?) - at least that way he's getting experience, it shows the fringe players they have hope and it will motivate the players on the pitch to know they have to work or they will lose their standing.

Damn. Didn't know it was for the whole season, thought he'd be back by now!

That's a real nuicance 'cause I really don't rate Mr. Loverman, not at this level anyway.

4-3-3- is really just 4-5-1 when you're attacking though
