    Heard on the legends last night that Pardew has publicly said that the Darlo manager Liddel just has to pick up the phone and we will lend them some youth/fringe players to help them out of a 'player shortage' hole.

    What a gesture from him and thr club.

    Regarding the club, it seems we are at last getting our PR spot on.

    Mikes even lost a boat load of weight. maybe he's sorting himself out too? nah, what am i saying!

    Its good press and a genuine gesture of goodwill. It would do a couple of our youth/reserve players no harm to have a run out for them. the could see what a real pressure cooker of league football is like.

    Personally at this moment in time i cannot see the point of pardew saying the sun quote.
    the sun quote above is just that , 2 lines , thats it, with no date or nothing, so sounds like typical southern media trying it on again.
    we are more likely to add to the squad, but like everyone else theres always that niggle that ashley is going to screw up again soon

    Hopefully we can do something for them. Only problem is are there not rules relating to how many you can take from one club, and how many you can have at one time? I think it may be 4 loans at one time and two from any one club. Its to stop feeder type arrangements. I think Sammy would have benefitted but surely the likes of Tav, Kadar, Moyo etc could do with game time. I hope they can get out of this predicament.

    I was hoping we would do something. Was half tempted to setup a wip-round for them, but wasn't sure if people would be keen. Would have looked great on our supporters!

    Great bit of PR, good experience for the players and a wonderful gesture by the club.

    lol they're using a quote from about a week ago and using it our of context.

    Edit: just read on fleetwood. That's pretty poor sportsmanship! Their fans should be ashamed
