12.10 Meydan - EMERALD COMMANDER 7/2 (BOG) (NAP)

This promises to be a decent race and for me Emerald Commander is way overpriced here at around the 7/2 mark. He is a very good horse on his day and comes here having finished 2nd in a Group 2 in Italy back in November. He looks the type that will do well at the carnival and this 5yo should be able to get a victory for the first time since July 2011 here. The market suggests Mutahdee will run well on his first outing for Mike De Kock. He is a lightly raced sort and open to further improvement, however on the bare form I couldn't have him at all at 2/1 and feel his stablemate Viscount Nelson may prove to be the biggest threat to my selection

    2.20 Chepstow - JUMP CITY 7/1 (BOG)

I am very surprised to see Jump City priced up at 7/1 this morning as I feel he has leading claims here over 2m which I believe is his optimum trip. He is certainly flattered by the winning distance of Darlan last time out as he was unextended to defeat the selection by half a length. However that horse has a big reputation and is a lot better than the rivals Jump City faces today. He runs off a mark of 136 and I feel this is workable. Obviously there are dangers including the well handicapped Charm School and also Sire De Grugy but I feel Jump City is the stand out value of the race.

    1.35 Catterick - REALMONT 100/30 (BOG)

This is a horse with high class form in France with the pick of his form finishing just a length behind Long Run in May 2009. He has had several problems since but is still only a 7yo and he should be more than capable of picking up a Novice Hurdle somewhere. He travelled well for a long way on his debut for Donald McCain at Ffos Las following a 700+ day lay off and with that expected to have brought him on a fair bit I will take a chance on him this afternoon.

Morning all - two for me today/

    1.35 Catterick - Realmont.
Returned from a long absence to run respectively at Ffos Las on Boxing Day, not knocked about and that would have been a tough stamina sapping comeback given the ground that day.
With 8 runners in this and a price tag around 4s I'll be playing this one each way - beware the non runner though, just the bare 8 declared, any NR and the place bet goes

    2.20 Chepstow - Jump City.
Ran very well against the highly regarded Darlan last week, obviously the winner would appear to have plenty in the tank but the second pulled well clear of the field who included a double bumper winner of Philip Hobbs.
Nichols clearly thinks the ground won't be against the horse and another at around 4s that is excellent each way value as long as the 8 all go.

    Good luck

Extraordinary RV - prepare for disappointment !

Think the Dascombe horse may struggle in the 120 after the 1,2 by De Kock <whistle>

    Hello All,

My Nap today is DOBERDAN who goes in the 3.15 at Catterick. The selection won last time out at the course and looked like it had improvement to come. The trip is a step up from its previous run, but it should get the distance ok judging by it's previous form in Ireland. Currently available at 6/1 which I feel is good value.

Shall also be putting it in a Lucky 15 with
LORD VILLEZ , 2.10 Catterick, have to agree with the reasons given by Nass earlier in thread and feel the jockey booking is a major plus point. 10/1
START RIGHT, 1.55 Meydan, who needed the run last week to blow out the cobwebs, returned to turf today though and should take all the beating with Frankie up top 11/4
CYGNET 2.40 Catterick, could be another bigger priced winner for McCain with Maguire up top and feel that 22/1 available is too big for this Horse. Should easily get the trip but this race for me is quite a wide open contest in terms of who might win

Also, an each way pick for LUPITA in the 1.45 Chepstow, currently 66/1 for no other reason than a gut feeling about it!!! Although only to small stakes

    Involuntary Muscle Contraction
Professor Higgins at the University of Sydney was giving a lecture on
'Involuntary Muscle Contraction' to a group of first year medical students.
This was not an exciting subject so the professor decided to lighten up the mood.
He pointed to a young woman in the front row and asked, 'Do you know what your arse hole is doing while you're having an orgasm?'

She replied, 'Probably out playing golf with his mates.'
It took 45 minutes to restore order in the classroom!

    Hello lads.

Nothing for me today in the decent bet bracket..poor offerings tbh...might have a look at Lisianthus at 14/1 e.w. in the 6.20 at Dundalk...lightly raced,up in trip, down in the weights and interesting connections are persisting with her.

Glad Hitchens was only second...my mate co owns him and I only got the text 5 mins before the off to back him e.w. as he will come on for the outing,so hadn't time to stick it up.

Well done Eddie on the winner of that contest.

    GL all having a punt.

A horse called Baileys Strider runs tonight at wolves, i think in the 7pm. Got some 5s this morning. 5/2 at the minute is still worth some money guys, if you find bigger on Betfair then take it <ok>
