As I said depends on your individual circumstances.

They have a maximum pay out of something between £400-£500 per month housing, its recently changed so can't remember exact figure.

It is possible to get a 3 bed house to rent in that price range by me.

If you were part of a family ie partner & 2 kids & you & partners income was less than x amount you would get the full whack - up to £500.

If you only had one kid but still had a 3 bed house you would get slightly less as you could get by in a 2 bed house

If you lived on your own in a 3 bed house you'd get even less.

 

I agree that money should be invested in those institutions... I to an extent agreed with a lot of what blair/brown did. but they ****ed it up in a big way as they were trusted to run the countries finances and nearly bankrupted us.. and right up until the tories took power they were saying they wanted to borrow more..

This is an ultimately pointless arguement as I believe Labour may have had the right intentions but pissed a shed load of money up the wall by the entire system being inefficient.. and problems are not fixed simply by spending more and more money...
