The term immigrant must be defined here - are we talking Eastern Europeans who come here for work & claim housing, child benefit etc? Or genuine asylum seekers who have fled war torn countries?
You sure?? I read an article a while back whereby they were saying if someone from the UK moves to Bulgaria for example they would still receive their UK benefits but as its so cheap in that country you would be far better off............and they have a nice bit of sun!
No such thing, France is not a war torn country. People whose lives are in danger in war torn countries can't just show up at the airport, show their passport and hop on a plane to Heathrow.
I didn't realise I accidentally went on the daily mail website. How much does the economy gain from immigrants? The ones who work and pay taxes that is, which is most of them. That £2billion is a load of bollocks and is not taking into account any income. The issue here is nothing to do with immigrants per se, but more to do with how benefits are just handed out willy-nilly to immigrants and Brits alike.

No. I'm talking about the usual people like you who every time there's a negative story about immigration feel the need to tell us all about it. When you're being fed a constant drip of negative stories it's easy to believe that the majority of immigrants are dole scrounging layabouts. Newspapers and most other media sources have no interest in posting positive stories so it's up to people to discern what is the truth and what is a campaign by certain sections of the media with an anti-immigrant agenda.
for such a small number they do commit horrific crimes dont they? the eastern blocks I mean 3 from this month alone that I have read about, there's probably more man and wife blungeoned to death with lump hammer - culprit was lithuanian women tasered beat up and burried alive - culprit was polish HIV couple having sex in public swimming pool, biting and spitting police officers who tried to arrest them - culprits were polish and african go on ST, defend them
