And in other news, courtesy of BBC: "United goalkeeper David de Gea may need to undergo eye surgery before the end of the season."

That explains it! How much was he again? Oh dear, should have gone to Specsavers.<doh>

    Dearest Rusholme,

Have you been drinking the Manchester water too? Oh wait, your in Cardiff arn't you. Carroll will develop into one of the most feared strikers in Europe and will fire Liverpool to domination of the game, both domestically, and on the continent. I think Mickey Owen should concentrate on his horses, like most of Uniteds players, it won't be long before his legs pack up.

"Owen Coyle believes the 'outstanding' Andy Carroll will soon start reproducing his very best form in a Liverpool shirt."

Me too, only a matter of time, just wait till we throw Suarez in the mix, gunna knock your mob out of the cup and then beat you at the toilet. The only trophy you lot will get is 'most deluded fans - living in the past' award.

<laugh> Suarez who's been scoring for fun eh?? dont make me laugh he is a shower of **** in the first degree and a racist to boot.. And as for living in the past <laugh> REALLY???? so your sorry lot haven't been living on past glories for 20 odd years now still thinking you are a big club <laugh>

Come back and have this row when mandy has scored more than 30 goals in a season and you lot win a title.. As to the Mandy situation I do honestly hope he does do well for you, purely because he is english (what with you being irish you probably dont get that) but I feel he is an overweight unfit lazy carthorse.

And as for Owen Coyles opinion <laugh> he has a real eye for talent doesn't he.. He has turned Bolton form mid table mediocrity to relegation certainties..

United have peaked, lets take a look at the facts:

Goalkeeper: United have always had a solid keeper, but presently have a very average keeper.

Defence: with Ferdinand, Vidic and Evra approaching the end of thier careers, United may struggle.

Midfield: very weak. requires serious investment, the owners looking unlikely to spend after the big money transfers of De Gea <cough> and Young

Attack: take away Rooney and there is a real lack of class upfront.

So as you can see United's league position is papering over many cracks.

To summarise: United, a team in rapid decline.

But still WAY better than Liverpools, Chavs, French Arse, Spuds etc etc etc.

How is the Weather In Ireland and why dont you support a team from your own country?

and your IP address is Irish, so dont say you are not in Ireland, KPR

And what makes this statement even funnier is we are still managing to be 13 points ahead of you.. Doesnt say alot for the standard of the league if in your esteemed opinion we are **** yet still managing to challenge for the title..

I would agree this seasons team is weak compared to other seasons and certainly is not good enough for the Champions league but as ****e as it may be it is still a hell of a lot better then the rest of the Premier league.

Lets take a closer look at Liverpool:

    Goalkeeper: World Class

Central Defence: Defenders do not peak till late 20's, Agger and Skrtel have improved rapidly under Kenny and Steve Clark. Also the best left back in the league in Enrique and Johnson not bad either, Englands first choice.

Midfield: Very good, with younger players breaking through also.

    Forwards: World class

To summarise: Liverpool are in a strong position, the league position is a culmination of bad luck and a result of new players fitting in. Expect a very strong finsh.

Just to add, am predicting a cup double and a top four spot. And a challenge for the title next year...
