How would you lot spend the 35m on? (supposedly)

    Be serious like put players an prices and dont go barmy going Messi or whatnot
    Id go for :-

    Sturridge 10-12m
    Quality player. I reckon if Carlo and Chelsea had him in their plans he'd have been getting more game time. His performances for Bolton have just put his price up a bit, and I reckon hes the kind of player who'd fancy joining a club like ours.

    Martin Caceres 8-10m
    Centerback on loan from Barca at Sevilla, and has looked tidy from what i've seen of him and I think he'd do well alongside Colo, hes a beast in the air.

    Micheal Johnson 5m
    Looked really good a couple of years back at Man City, a young, smart center midfielder with an eye for a pass. Could be what we need alongside Tiote.

    The rest i'd use to get some of our more important players tied down long term, Jose, Joey etc.

    No to Caceres & Michael Johnson.

    We shouldnt be spending that much on a centre back when IMO we dont really need one. Plus coming over from Sevilla/Barca he would want a high wage.

    Michael Johnson is plagued with injury, doesn't have a great attitude (from what I'm aware) and is a bit podgy. Not really the sort of player we need either, we have Nolan/Barton/Tiote for CM next season.

    I'd like Sturridge though, maybe a target man to go with him. Lots mention Gervinho on here, I'd like him. Sign Ireland permanently if he performs. We need a backup leftback too, cant think of a name though.

    Id offload Smith, Perch, Lovenkrands, possibly Ryan Taylor and probs get about 6-7 mil for them to add to it.

    Tie Barton and Enrique down. Gervinho does seem likely, for around 10 million or so, would be nice.

    Id love a sneaky 8 million bid for Kranjcar, who was supposed to join Bremen for 6 mil. Can see Spuds strengthening again in the summer, and think he could be the bargain buy there. Would be adored by us, who doesnt like a player guaranteed to score 5 or 6 screamers a season?

    Also, if we have say 20 mil left over.....Podolski!!!

    Great eye for goal and shot. I still think he can do a job in the Prem.

    Andreas Ottl (Free)
    Solid central midfield player as back up for Tiote (replace Smith)

    Sylvain Marveaux (Free)
    Attacking Mid but can play on the wings

    Piotr Trochowski (Free)

    Sturridge would be an awesome signing however i can't see Chelsea letting him go!

    I'd like to see Barnetta come in, he's always expressed an interest to play in England..

    Gervinho would be great, as would barnetta, marveaux would also be quite good and we'd still have a fair bit of money left over
