Just been on SSN, B'ham have made a loan bid for Gardener which we have rejected. We have said we would only consider a perm move. Interesting, I wonder if we might see some movement this window after all.

That's what happens when you have auto change spell check on.

If we can get money for the grounds man I would take it ;)

I like Gardner & i would love him to stay but i have said before if he is not happy in the NE then we should let him go. Not on loan i would only sell. & thats only if we got our money back.

Like others I like Gardner but TBH we could lose him without it hurting us. If the lad wants out then lets get our cash back

    This.

I think Gardner will be on the move, he's made it clear he's not settled in the area. That's not Sunderland problem but he certainly needs to be sold and not loaned.

He's 25 year old man if he can't live alone in the ultra friendly North East then what hope does he have?

    Exactly.

Good player, and one I had high hopes for, but it's not gonna end well, realistically.

Money back, best of luck Craig.

i have to say, if he is genuinely homesick enough to leave a club clearly on the up for one of a number of average at best midlands clubs with small crowds and little ambition, just to be close to friends and family...

grow the **** up!! there are thousands of 18 years olds who move away every single year to go to university, many to opposite ends of the country from their family, friends and the places they grew up. how is a 25 year old bloke earning millions able to get away with this as an excuse??

at any rate, if it really is that bad, he can afford to fly people in by helicopter to see him any time he's lonesome. he could even hire 5 of his friends to live at his house, and pay them each a decent salary with just a month's wages...

only this annoyed because i really like the player, think he is just what we need in midfield and complements vaughan and catts well. sort your heed out man!!
