Tbh if someone stumps up over £20m Ashley will probably snap their hands off.

£20m in the bank and we have Cisse now so it wouldnt look so bad for him.

Knowing our luck we would get him and his knees will go in the first game.

If that happens just sell him on to Liverpool for a tidy profit.

What will be will be. I'll worry when Ba is holding up an Arsenal shirt. For now I'll treat that story as some useless ****s imagination.

    Pointless 'journalism' that.

Surely Wenger would rather take a punt on Moussa Sow since Lille have already signed his replacement (Nolan Roux), said they'd listen to offers and the only one going around at the minute is €13M to Fenerbache!

Er doesn't he have a £7 million release clause? Not that I think we will buy him or anything.

The release clause is inactive until summer, we have a chance to give him a new deal without one before then.

18 million for a player who's reported to have dodgy knees that could go at any time, would'nt think wenger's that desperate

He has been great for newcastle but coming to arsenal is another step up and its questionable as to where he can make the jump, also he would have to deal with playing second fiddle to rvp and rarely starting as long as rvp is fit. We were also interested in cisse who newcastle signed and sow at one point but to be honest i wouldn't want us to sign a striker before we get an attacking midfielder in to replace fabregas.

Mmm - bit subjective statement that! As we are level on points and have a good chance of going above the Arse this weekend.....plus Ba is Second top scorer in the league, he doesn't need to prove he can make the jump !!

Agreed. He scored a few for a terrible west ham side, looked decent enough, makes the jump up to a stronger mid-table side, scores for fun, looks very good. Providing we can sign a creative midfielder, then at arsenal he should score even more. I highly doubt RvP will be an Arsenal player next season, so maybe Ba would be a nice cheap proven option for us.

Even though we are level on points and will go above you if we get a point on Saturday, I do agree it's a step up. It's Arsenal at the end of the day lol. I very much doubt he will leave any time soon, but if he did leave and stay in the Prem I hope it's Arsenal because I admire them and love Arsene Wenger. Van Persie behind Ba or Ba behind Van Persie would work brilliant. Be best partnership ever! lol

Sow didnt actually want to go to Fenerbahce, but Mamadou Niang convinced him to move apparently. If he's only getting 15k p/w why would he move? Hardly motivated by the money.
