I remember away back in the 60's or early 70's Tommie Gemmell really annoying the bears fans who were tossing beer bottles down on to the pitch during the match and he was walking round the pitch lifting the bottles and checking if there was any beer inside and drinking any that was. At least if Celtic fans were throwing bananas on to the ground at Parkhead, they were taunting rival players. Those were bad times in sport were racism was prevelent at most sporting fixtures if there were players of different races present.
