2011 calendar year league table

    Just found this on Martin Tylers stats column. It's the league table if it started on the 1st of Jan 2011 and finished on the 31st Dec, proves we are the best of the rest and the start to this season is not just a flash in the pan.

    Not being funny, it doesn't prove we are best of the rest as Everton played two less games than us and picking up one less point.

    Suppose, but then that's there fault for playing 2 less games than us in 2011! Didn't think we'd be that high

    just look at the ponts per game, we drop 1 liverpool drop 2 places ect

    What that one game got changed for TV and one got called off because of the riots in Tottenham.

    Considering it was our first calendar year since being promoted... I think we're doing well.

    Everton is a tricky one though, because they're renowned for really ramping up the points towards the second half of the season, so from the 1st of January 2011 to the end of that season they would have been one of the highest point gainers in the league.

    The calender year thing is rubbish. You should pay attention as to what happens in a season.

    In a season you play every team twice, in a calender year you could play 1 team 3 times or only once. It depends on the fixture list you have, which makes this calender year thing a bad way to judge who's actually being more successful.
