Meanwhile rangers just continue posturing in the press, with bollocks about signings and taking the OF on the road.
Hearing different things about where he plays. I don't think he's been signed for the first team yet. Still I would prefer we dropped a numbers and got some experience and proven quality to aid the youngsters currently here.
I can see the seance in buying these lads for the future, as if we wait until they are developed we won't be able to afford them. But this lad, the pole and the lad blackman we signed don't strike me as anything more than squad players. They've all failed to make the grade at many other teams, I'm not sure they'll suddenly develop. We don't need more squad players. We need lads ready to play
Agreed RL. The more I hear about this guy the more it seems he just needs the right club to sort him out, I don't think anyone has question his talent in his career. Christ, if we can play Sammy based on the fact that he "A real talent on his day" then this boy is well worth a punt.
Work permit could be a problem they say, though playing for Nigeria under 21s etc must count towards it you'd have thought? Looked to have decent touches in that bounce game to be fair, also looked hungry to get the ball & impress which is a very good sign. The thing you have to remember about these young players is that alot of them have played their entire footballing life in one position & when signed by clubs are advised they wont make it in that position but could do a job elsewhere........players like Ashley Cole & Gary Neville were wingers, Scholes was a striker.... Chances are this lad was signed as a youngster based on him playing as a striker, he stopped growing physically and was shunted to the wing - so in effect he's only played that position a few years!

Is that so he can deposit a Nigerian prince's vast sums? I wonder if Sone Aluko is the first Nigerian to actually pay money into a westerners bank account.
