You have a flawed argument there.

Even theoretically Pompey are not in administration. And if no buyer is found by the end of the month then Chanrai will step back in again as the purchase price agreed with CSI was only paid in part so theoretically he owns the club again.

Pompey won't be back in admin so the points deduction won't apply. This is a sale pure and simple. Clubs that are sold don't usually have a points deduction so why, as PFC are not in admin, would it happen in this case?

Wasn't that the stipulation they forced on Matt Le Tissier's consortium a few season back that stopped him from taking over Southampton?

I thought you just said PFC are part of CSIs assets, and that all CSIs businesses are in administration...

That's where I was getting the theory from <ok>

CSI are in administration, its subsidiary businesses are not. They are, apart from one which has been liquidated, all going concerns and are being sold.

    Something along those lines.

The MLT consortium was willing to take the points deduction in February/March and get it over with so it didn't carry over to next season.

But Rupert Lowe didn't like this and was prepared to take the risk that the very youthful Saints team could pull off a miraculous escape from relegation!

There was a deadline of something like the 17th of March and if we had gone into administration before that date points would've been deducted straight away.

He chose to wait until after that and it meant that we were relegated either way...

There are a number of factors going on when a situation like that occurs...
