Heard that too. They may place some kind of limitations on it, but can't see them banning it. Loans are good for helping out teams who can't afford to buy players, provide temporary cover, give experience to youngsters, and reduce wage bills for the team the player is contracted to.

Limiting loans would be idiotic. Limiting them in part because of Doncaster's experiment would be more idiotic still. I understand that they are quite reasonably worried about the influence of agents, but deal with that problem (if deemed a problem) at its root, rather than rubber-stamping the idea and then cutting other teams off at the knee.

If I lived in Orlando I would attend the open tryouts just so I could have the honour of meeting such a Southampton legend as Pulis.

Although, judging by the standard of football he'll be playing, most of us would probably make the team :/

Skysports still think we are interested. Just wait for Lennon to open his mouth and we will know for sure. I'd be surprised if we offered the wages that are being touted, at least while we are in the Championship. I would also be surprised if we offered more than £6m, even for £4-6m it would put a lot of pressure on Hooper, a lot of pressure on Adkins and the team to get promoted this season, and while landing Hooper could definitely help, it still guarantees nothing.

They claim we will offer double his wages. That would be around 25k a week and that is what Lallana is on.
