Really happy Barton left now

Big mouth overrated thug, hes been ordinary for qpr and constantly has to be the centre of attention, good riddance

 

To be fair I was glad when he left at the time, had got to that point where I was fed up of the way he was going on, especially on twitter.

 

Agreed, I still loved him last season though and he can be funny at times, but it is getting a bit tiresome now!

 

Haven't heard about him for months. If you're stupid enough to follow him on Twitter and not expect **** or to be wound up, then frankly you deserve it

I'm kinda glad he's gone, the bad press the entire club got cos of him was doin my head in. Excellent player for us though.

We've evolved since Joey. But never forget his contribution to the 4-4 comeback against Arsenal last Feb.

 

Obertan/Barton? Only one winner there. Barton in the last 18 months was absolutely class for us. Ran the show against the mackems and many other teams. Wish he was still here.

 

When you comparing Ober and Barton in almost every category (technique, crossing ability, street fighting prowess) Barton comes out on top, except for pace, so I do think Barton is a better player.... but I am sort of glad he's gone, he was beginning to poison the atmosphere with his egotism.

 

He improved his attitude tremendously. He is not a thug, and I can't believe the FA didn't over turn his red card, it was ****ing ridiculous. He literally touched the Norwich players face with his own.

****ing pathetic. Everyone is far too harsh on Barton.

He's got a big mouth, but he was excellent for us last season, our best player at the time IMO.

 

How did I know you would defend him before I read the post, the rules state that if you put your face into a players head you will get sent off, therefore he was correctly sent off. He has improved but the guy is still a prick, who said he'd only leave us for Champions League then joins a newly promoted team.

 

I'm also glad he left - he is a ****. Was glad he left at the time and wanted him gone before he did leave aswell...

 

Correctly sent off due to the pathetic rule? Yes, but that doesn't mean Barton is a thug. The Norwich player that went down is a pathetic twat, is contributing far more to ruining football these then Barton.

He's got his faults, but he's not a thug. I could understand why some people wouldn't like him, but I see no reason why anyone would call him a thug anymore, as he doesn't act like one.

And btw Barton put his face up against the player because that player fouled him off the ball before hand.

Yeah well we can sit around saying we wouldn't do something like that, but in the heat of the moment your emotions sometimes get the better of you. It's easy for us to sit and criticise players for doing it, but we all make mistakes.

 

I wouldn't. And I haven't. I play football too. Regardless of the level, I wouldn't put my head to another's. The team comes before the man. Barton let his team down just so he could let off some steam
