and a takeover should be complete. That is what has been said on Late Kick Off tonight. Hi guys, RLGB here in peace! AA has apparently made a statement saying that some movement should happen in the next 48 hours. He also said how it would be nervy and on knife edge with this months pay day coming up too. Close to avoiding deduction! Someone that I know reckons that as part if the takeover Pompey will also still get deducted points. (and he's a Charlton fan) What are your thoughts on all of the above. Looks like this could be a new start for Pompey if it comes off!
This time next year Andronikou we'll be millionaires... Will he be sipping pina coladas on match day?
If you ask any of the Pompey regulars on this board you'll realise that I am not a WUM. I actually get on well with Pompey fans and have a keen interest in football in general
From something I read today it could be that AA has made a bit of a cock-up and his movements are mainly on the throne!
Hopefully we can make some more significant signings to help us pull away from the drop zone with new owners .. Apparently, they will need £12 million instantly to pay for everything since November, and a further £20 million for previous owners Chainrai and Gaydamak
The more that Admin Andy says, the less I believe that those things are going to happen. Why does he make these comments? Why doesn't he just say that "negotiations are ongoing" so he doesn't lose whatever credibility he might have if nothing happens. And then announce the deal once it's done.
Because he loves the limelight, Channon. Although, at least he is 'keeping mum' about the actual identity of our prospective new owner - let us hope it is not Cala
46 hours ago AA said there would be big news in 48 hours... What has actually happened and who is J. Cala? Name keeps getting thrown around but not heard if him? Any news?
Rickie - where have you been? J. Cala is an Italian/American businessman who has popped up and proclaimed himself to be the frontrunner in the race to buy Pompey, much to the chagrin of the Pompey faithful. Good article in the Daily Telegraph today which will tell you everything about him.
Gawd you're idle Rickie. He was in charge of Serie B club Salernitana for 11 days last year (he failed to make any of payments due, including players wages and the club was closed down by the police shortly after). Even Chanrai has tweeted a sneering comment about his 30% fees. Calamity Joe aka the Man from Atlantis, has proclaimed himself to be the front-runner to buy the club. He's just a publicity seeking fantacist, who has also been photographed along with Lampitt at our local derby match in December. He's a nutcase.
He just sounds dodgy! Why is AA back! Think he is just looking for a quick sale rather than the stability side of it... Wouldn't be happy with that, he was in charge of a club for 11 days without making a single payment, surely that is enough evidence to say that he isn't committed!
CSI have been put into Administration because of the Antonov arrest, he was the major shareholder and funder. AA is there trying to find buyers for all CSI businesses, one of which is Pompey. As for Cala - has he passed the FL Fitness & Proper Person Test? Indications seem to be that he has which should worry every football fan in England and Wales.
I suppose that's theoretically speaking that Pompey are in administration. Then theoretically Pompey should get a points deduction which is more than the 9 points last time coz its happened again... If Cala has passed then the FL must be drunk/on drugs/been bribed (which is most probably the likely option) I think that is just unbelievable! Someone that I know reckons that if a takeover is done then the FL would only allow it to happen providing the club accepts a points deduction, I mean it seems plausible but I doubt it would happen.
