Spurs-obsessed wums from the old 606

Discussion in 'Tottenham Hotspur' started by Hoddle is a god, Jan 18, 2012.

  1. What was the name of that Spurs-obsessed poster over on the old 606 forum, who took every opportunity to have a pop at us? I think he was a Spanner. I used to write little sketches about him going about his every day life, being totally obsessed with Spurs. I miss him, in a way.

There were quite a few other Spurs-obsessed posters on the old 606 who appear to be missing from this site.

Are they all over on JA606?

Todger Bold and Myhammers were the most persistant Hammer wums that I remember. I don't think they've been back but when I was on Ja a few months ago they seemed to think Mich was a West Ham fan too.

    It wasn't TJHammers, was it?
He had the most horribly backfired thread that I've ever seen, I think.

That was it. Credit to him for not editing it like others did.

He was such a good luck charm for a while, old TJ.
Predicted that we'd lose at home to Wigan, for example, just before we beat them 9-1.
That weekend we scored more goals than Wigan, Stoke, Pompey, Bolton, Birmingham, Fulham, Burnley, Villa, Wolves, Everton, Arsenal, Sunderland and Liverpool combined, amusingly.

RogerBold was the main one I saw. Seemed to switch between being a Hammers fan and a pool supporter.

  9. Roger Bold was his name! That's the fellow! Splendid chap! Completely and utterly obsessed with us, he was. So much so, that I feared for his sanity.

    Inspector: "Tickets, please!"
Roger: "At least you get a train ride with this ticket, eh!"
    Inspector: "Sorry, mate?"
Roger: "When you buy a ticket for the train, at least you get a train ride out of it, eh!"
Inspector: "That's the ideal, pal. Now, show me yo..."
Roger: "Not the same at Spurs, though, eh?"
    Inspector: "What?"
Roger: "Buy a ticket at WHL and you get nothing."
Inspector: "Sorry, mate, I don't have a clue wha..."
Roger: "For the price of a Spurs game you can ride the train all the way to Reading and back. And, quite frankly, I'd rather watch Reading play on a wet Sunday than watch Spurs."
Inspector: "Look, pal, I've got a packed train, so just show me your ticket or I'll fine you!"
Roger: [looking for his train ticket] "I seem to have lost it..."
Inspector: "That's it! I'm calling the transport cops. You doughnut!"

  13. There were a couple of blokes posing as women, over on the old 606. At times, it was almost like being in a tranny bar.

Not that I have ever intentionally found myself in a tranny bar.

I have actually always had a little suspicion that you might actually be Holte, HIAG. All this praising is doing little to help your case... ;)

  15. I wasn't Holte.

Actually, I'm struggling to remember what my old 606 name was!

I was the one who regularly wrote little sketches about Roger Bold.

Did you inspire the names of the spin off sites?

    Quite possibly.

I think I was called something before that and which had been my user name for most of my time on the site, but I can't quite remember what.
