There is a speculation that Aston Villa would allow Darren Bent to leave in exchange for Andy Carroll. Comments:
I think I would. I know that Carroll can grow but don't feel he fits our style, our gameplan, and just in general doesn't fit, sorry. At least with Bent you know 10 goals for sure each season, he just has that knack. Adds a bit of pace as well. I would want better than Bent but as Bozz put it " Bent over Carroll anyday of the week"

Might as well, couldnt be any worse could he ? And at the end of the day it's not like were missing out on recouping anything other than a packet of space invaders for Andy Carroll. In all seriousness I dont necessarily think he's that crap but this move has come 4/5 years too early for him, he's desperate to prove himself which is why you hardly see him in the box. A 21 year old should not have that amount of burden on their shoulders anyway but some can handle it, some cant. Bent is 28, comfortable with his game & would have maturity to stick to the position he should be playing without panicing, you would have thought anyway. At least you'd be able to sell him on for a packet of scampi fries.
Ya, that's a big deal right now. Basically everyone agrees on the piracy part but taking too much of the liberty away, gotta find a better way to do it.
