Any forum people going to Reading on Saturday?

It's my local ground and the only one I can actually afford to travel to at the moment given my lack of employment!

The Hull City page on Facebook says 700 - I think there was over 1000 last year which is a very impressive amount for such a journey.

Looking forward to it lots - so pleased the football association approved my request for the Reading vs Hull game to be on my birthday weekend, just like they did last year...I can see one long piss-up :)

Yes its funny how the game is almost to the year of last seasons game. I shall be there with my party as always and looking forward to it. Will take a look next door at the old Reading Speedway stadium (now sadly rubble and mud) that i had many happy times at. As for the game i expect over 1000 city fans there by ko and a Hull City win. 1-0 will do.

Oh yes...Happy Birthday by the way. <cheers>

Not quite. Maybe a KFC from next door could be the order of the day.

Massive game. Could make a massive difference to the league table, we'd likely fall away from the teams above us if we lose but if we win we are steadly climbing further up.

I'm sure we'll play well, I'm sure we'll either keep a clean sheet or concede just the one, and I'm sure we'll create enough chances to win the game. It's going to come to down to the front men.

Come on Matty prove me wrong this time.

I dont see how this is a massive game.? But agree its important that we dont lose. I expect City to win as our team is stronger than last seasons and Reading are weaker. A City win would put us just 5 points behind 2nd spot. :)
Then we wait for the Saints v. Lesta game on monday night live on sky. I may just hope for a NP win in that one. <eek>

It is, if it were custard it would have to be cold to stop the heat remelting the jelly and cold custard is just rank.

I think it is important to do well against our play-off rivals and Reading are currently on very good form.

I will be surprised if we win, but you never know.

It is the kind of game that is we win, I will be much more confident about finishing in the top 6 - but if we lose, then I will probably resign from hoping until next year.

Agreed. There's no must win games in January.

Win - Lose or draw, nothing is decided in January. But a win would be most useful for sure.

I don't see how the time of year affects it though. The game's worth 3 points just as one on the final day will be. We can't be losing to all the top teams as we have been doing so far and expect to finish up there, it'll be especially annoying if we do a typical City and create 15 chances but fail to score, and then concede to their only shot of the game. This team has real potential, but it's only the results that count and whilst our results have been good on the whole, they should have been a lot better. It'll frustrate the hell out of me if we miss out on automatic or the playoffs even by a point or two and we live to regret all those games against the likes of Derby, Burnley (both times), Boro, Blackpool, West Ham, Soutampton and Barnsley.

No. But if City win that puts extra pressure on Saints on monday night. The next 4 rounds of championship fixtures could change the top of the championship quite significantly.
