Nope. Stronger indicates that there are more teams able to win said league. Better means the quality of football is more pleaseing to the eye. That's my opinion anyway.
It makes perfect sense for Rangers and Celtic to merge and eliminate the secterianism completely. They could then join the North Atlantic League along with the diddy teams from Scandinavia and Northern Europe. The only premise is that they must build a new stadium in Finland say and extradict all Central Belters with "religious issues" there. Then Scotland would be a country to be proud of.
Maybe Aberdeen could merge with a team that shares their interest in sheep molestation? Someone in the league of Wales might be interested...
I don't. Could not give a monkeys about England or Scotchland. Could not give a monkeys about any petty nationalistic jingoistic bullshit that people like you purport.
Stam says: "I think the superior strength of our PL lies in the difference between the top and the bottom teams. Just a couple of weeks ago, United, at the top of the league, were beaten at home by bottom-club Blackburn. On Sunday, Arsenal were beaten by Swansea. Chelsea were beaten by QPR earlier in the season, City by Sunderland, Tottanham by Stoke, Liverpool by Fulham etc. This happens less in Scotland. The results between the top sides are also very difficult to call. In short, it is a much more competitive and unpredictable league." I totally agree with this. It's why the EPL is the strongest and most popular league in the whole wide world. To go back to the OP, there is no way Celtic and Rangers would ever merge. As others have said, it's the other Scottish teams that need to merge. Scotland has too many clubs. Or, Celtic and Rangers get invited to the top table of the EPL but I can't see that happening for at least 5 years.
