am i right in saying his favoured position is to play the paul scholes role (of old), marauding forward and bursting into the box? i think he is better playing behind the forwards rather than in a flat midfield so he would probably play at the tip of the diamond - competition for little wesley!
Yep, but stronger than wee wes. Bringing one or the other on after 65 minutes to inject fresh legs and something a little different in that role. Bring it on
i was saying to a mate at the weekend our midfield lacks a centre midfielder who can burst into the box and score goals, just like damien francis used to and crofts did last year. lambert was obviously listening in...
The bloke on Twitter who said the following got it spot on: "The saddest thing about Howson going is he's off to a club that plays goal music. Thats how low Bates has dragged Leeds United." I'm off to punch a wall for a bit now.
Leeds United are not, repeat not, a selling club. That guy Bates is raping your club for his own ends. I expect LUFC will pocket 100,000 from this deal and Bates 1.9.
Trouble with Leeds is that a lot of the fans still think they are a massive club. They are not. They are no bigger than Burnley. Sheffield Wednesday have stopped believing they're massive, so should they. We are Premier League. FACT
You're right, having the biggest away following in the country, the fourth most popular website, the sixth biggest fanbase, fan clubs all over the country, the continent and the world doesn't make you a big club at all. Course it ****ing does. Divisional status makes you a GOOD club, but not a BIG one. For what it's worth, Norwich are a big club too, but if we had a competent chairman in charge of us, we'd be able to convince players that they should stay with Leeds because we're heading for the Premiership and will make a splash there. As it is, we can't even convince a lifelong Leeds fan and club captain of that fact. Don't delude yourselves by thinking it's the immense draw of Norwich that has forced this transfer. It's the immense ****ups at the helm of Leeds United that have made this debacle happen. I hope he does well for you though, I harbour no ill will towards your club or anything. Just angry at the shambles my club has become. When we can't even fulfil our divine right to be in the top division, you know something's wrong.
Very pleased with this personally, although I like Fox's quality on the ball sometimes i think he is a bit slow for the premiership and this could be a nice signing. It gives us plenty of options also and we all know what lambert can conjure up with options at his disposal
Seriously you must be taking the piss. Fantastic fan base who can't even be bothered to turn up. Smaller home attendences tham sotn, derby west ham, and about 50 more than Leicester What % of the ground are you filling? Where do you drag this stuff up from? J
I don't really care if you weren't being earnest Sheffield, because if you don't believe what you said, some other idiot will so it's nice to correct them anyway. It also implies you agree with me in your heart of hearts which is nice to know too. Yes. It's called boycotting. We have about 950,000 fans according to the latest survey which was done a few years ago. You do know fanbase includes fans who don't give Bates money every week... right?
