So Saturday brings the visit of Doncaster with their big name loanees but which version of City will we see ?

Will it be the one that lay down and died without a whimper at Crawley and Brighton or the one that got a point at WHU, and beat Southampton (twice!) and others ?

My hopes are that the crowd treat El Hadji Douif with all the contempt he deserves as a vile human being for 90 minutes and the Billy Sharp doesn't score another scappy 1-0 like agains Millwall will do nicely because it's no understatement to say that we really really need to win this game and nothing else but 3 points will do, so I hope Del has the boys pumped up and ready to batter them from the off. Doncaster have lost 11 of their 13 away games so far this season, but with 20 games to go we need to start putting points on the board very soon.

Personally I think now is the time to drop Maynard and play with Wood and Pitman up front.

This really is a must win game on the performance at brighton and crawley i think we need that 5 man midfield again with pitman alone up front. If availble cisse holding behind marvin and killer, with pearson on one wing Albert on the other. No idea why Chris wood was bought in, del seems to want to play short passing football not hoof ball so a big target man is not really needed until we are chasing the game then i see him as an impact player but thats all. The boys in red need to wake up and realise we are poor enough to go down and if the performances dont quickly improve that is exactly what will happen. It drives me mad because on paper we have a bloody good team out there we cant keep blaming Coppout or millen its now time for the players to stand up earn the right to wear our shirt earn their over inflated wages and finish this season on a high ready to kick on next year in a realistic push for the playoffs. Like i said on paper we are good enough for whatever reason on the pitch were not and the team sheet cant win footy matches for us! Starting this weekend we demand the passion demand the energy demand the desire from our heros in red to match the passion the desire the energy from the terraces.

So simple isn't it phat? Like you I look at the players available and think why on earth are we not better than our results indicate. Our current dire situation is down solely to the lack of commitment from the players who clearly don't have enough pride in themselves or commitment to the supporters to win games.

Saying that on paper we have a good squad is no longer the answer and we need good results right now or we will be in worse trouble. Losing is no longer acceptable and until each and every player understands that concept, our poor performances will not improve.

    Get it together now!

Then its Del's job to install that desire whether thats through putting the bloody lot on the transfer list until it registers in there money driven minds that this is no longer acceptable at BCFC or a proper dose of the hair dryer treatment i dont have the answers, if i did you would all be chanting the phatones name after each game. But i know in my work i manage 48 people every day on a budget thats tighter than a mouses ear, if 1 person decides they cant be bothered anymore and lets the rest of the team down it amazes me each time how quick that person decides to resign!:steam:
Come on Derek the time is now to either get these guys playing for Bristol City or send them to play for darlington. Now Mr Maynard that really would be a reality check!

Was at Coventry, McInnes took off Kilkenny and went 2 up top with Stead and Pitman. The longer the game went on the more useless we became. Since the Boro game, McInnes keeps taking midfielders off for a striker and results show it doesn't work. Well not yet at least.
He's persisting with a 'big' man up front - but it doesn't seem to suit our players. Why not select the set up that was successful pre Christmas.

    Keeper
    Back 4
    Adomah,Cisse,Marvin,Pearson
    Kilkenny
    Striker.

I'll say it again - Why McInnes fixed a system that wasn't broke is beyond me.

I'm gonna get slated twice now....ahh well.

1st. Agree with you Redprintt.........(I await the backlash from the old timers!!! You know who you are!!!!)
Either that or I would play wood up front and Nicky just behind playing a free roll.

2nd. If we play one up front as you're saying Redprintt, I would still stick with Nicky.........(I'm not gonna be popular!!!)

Our best football since McInnes's appointment has been when Kilkenny plays in their half and you need a 'Cisse' to allow him to do that.
NK is an intelligent player who's able to slide in balls down the side of central defenders and Maynard is the best we have to receive those passes.
I just can't see the likes of Nyatanga launching it to a 'big man' being successful.
We'll know a bit more after Saturday.
