Which London team can you honestly say that you care least about?

Discussion in 'Tottenham Hotspur' started by Hoddle is a god, Jan 17, 2012.

  1. I'm talking about having absolutely no interest whatsoever, win lose or draw.

For me, it's got to be QPR. It's not that I have anything against QPR. In fact, that's the whole point of it - I couldn't give a monkey's either way!

For Arsenal and West Ham, I always like to see them lose. Fulham I have always had a soft spot for, even before Jol became their manager, and I do think they are ripe for being taken over by mega money and showing the Chav's Russian owner how to build a proper squad with a proper manager who is left alone to get on with his job.

Chelsea themselves...meh! They are probably in contention with QPR as the London team that I most couldn't give a toss about, except that one of my best mates is a Chelea fan (an intelligent one, not like most of the mongrels we have on this site), and he has drawn into their plight of late.

Well, that's my choice, and my reasons, what about everyone else?

    Top-flight or just generally?
Might still be QPR either way, too.
I don't know any QPR fans and we don't have much to do with them very often.

  3. Your choice, PNP.

London sides scrapping away in the lower divisions tend to hit a soft-spot for me, and I usually always want them to win.

  4. Oh! I've just discovered that QPR are playing MK Dons in a return match in the FA Cup....

    Meh!

See! That proves my point about QPR. Nice if they win, but so what if they don't?

Hate Chavs, Goons and the Spammers. Not keen on Millwall either.

I don't mind Fulham, Crystal Palace (cool kit) and Leyton Orient (junior club).

QPR and the rest (charlton, brentford etc) are an afterthought.

    Brentford.

Can't stand Chelsea, Arsenal are an irritant, West Ham are always good laugh at, always had an unexplained soft spot for QPR, Fulham and Charlton are likable, Palace is my local team so I know a bunch of their fans, Millwall and Orient usually have a few of our players on loan, AFC Wimbledon command respect for what they've done and why, Barnet are plucky and Dag & Red have West Ham as their neighbours so deserve some sympathy. So Brentford it is!

I'm a Spurs fan. The rest, I am very egalitarian about. I loathe them all equally!

Soft spot for Fulham (probably BMJ based)
and the O's (Ralph Coates and all that)
and QPR (supported by a mate and went a few times when they were in the Championship. Like being at a mini Spurs in the 70s or 80s)
Millwall have a certain charm (unless we are away to them, which is thankfully rarely)
Hate the Goons and the Chavs in that order.
Dislike what the Spammers has become.
Charlton and Palace equally irrelevent to me.
Permanent low divisioners are all plucky survivors.

Happily admitting to not knowing that, surely proves beyond all reasonable doubt how little I care! :)

Probably west ham. Couldn't give a **** how they get on. **** colored kit and have always been mediocre in my years of following football.

QPR I have always had a soft spot for cause my sister is a fan, but now they've sacked warnock who I really like, they can suffer and go down as far as I'm concerned - cant stand mark hughes. Fulham I have always wanted to see "win", even more now that MJ is in charge.

Most hated: Chelsea and the goons. I'll probably get crucified fur this, but I actually hate Chelsea more. I have Mates who are chav fans and it's painful listening to them. In addition the way their club is run is pathetic. What is it now, 7 managers in 8 years? I just hate everything about them, including most of their players.

As for The goons, there will always be that rivalry, but they've played good football for many years and as a football fan I guess you gotta respect that. ( ****kkk... Listen to me) in addition, whinger is hilarious these days, how can u not like someone who makes u laugh? Even just a bit?? Hahaha.

So give me a grillin' lads, but yes, I currently hate Chelsea more at present!

    QPR for me.

Just a non-entity club. Didn't feel like a London derby at the Lane and despite them being in the Prem, I tend to forget they're even there. Don't dislike them, just tend to not notice them.

Fulham aren't far behind, boring fans but the team gave some entertainment in the Europa League which caused me to take a bit more notice.

  16. I know what you mean.

I used to really like Liverpool, but over the last few seasons, since their massive decline under Benitez and their continued decline under Queen Kenny, I have really grown to loathe both the club and its fans. It's the complete and utter arrogance of both that really gets to me. Now, they are, at best, at top-half mid-table side that will make a valiant play for a top 6 place each season, but the way Queen Kenny and the Mickey Mousers carry on you'd think they were still title contenders. When Robbie Fowler came out last season and said that "LFC deserved to be at the top" I was spitting nails. I don't despise any club or any set of fans more than I do LFC.

It used to be the Goons, but they've had their arrogance kicked out of them, and even former smug-faced gits such as RVP seems to carry himself with a bit of humility these days. Sure, some of their fans on here try to perpetuate the myth that they remain the potent force they once were, but even they must know that the boasting rings hollow. And whilst Whinger could be seen, in some light, as arrogant as Queen Kenny, he is, in fact, a tragi-comic figure in football, these days; so much so, that I really cannot take him seriously. He has become a caricature of himself, to be laughed at, rather than taken serioussly

Well summed up HIAG. you clearly have the same thoughts as me, but for Liverpool.

it's a real mixture of things: the running of the club, the fans, the way the club conducts itself, the players, the attitudes, etc etc. For me, those factors currently make chelsea the most hated.

Anyway apologies for going slightly off topic HIAG, this is about who we all "care least about".

    do continue chaps....

My wife has a soft spot for any reference to royalty, or else it's a bit of a running joke, which somehow translates to me sort of liking QPR, Palace and Fulham. I definitely hate Chelsea more than Arsenal, which is sad, since I should be enjoying Arsenal's bad times thoroughly, and instead I feel more sorry for them than anything else.

Wasn't there a London club that used to play in the Prem, has "West" in their name? Don't tell me, I'll think of it in a second. Anyway, massive indifference sums up my feelings for them, whoever they are.

Spurs fans more dislike Arsenal than outright hate them (and vice-versa), apart from when Wenger is being...well, Wenger - Chelsea, Man Utd and Liverpool are far more likely to stir up hatred for various reasons related to their managers, players, fans, fanboys in the media, and general sense of entitlement. I'm sure if you asked Hibs fans who they hate they'd say the Old Firm rather than Hearts, for example.
