Military police are investigating allegations of child abuse by two British soldiers in Afghanistan.
Two servicemen from the Mercian Battle Group have been arrested over claims that they abused two Afghan children aged about 10.
The Sun newspaper said the separate incidents were filmed and showed to colleagues on laptop computers.
The Ministry of Defence said it took such claims "seriously" and the Royal Military Police were investigating.
"We are aware that an allegation has been made concerning alleged inappropriate behaviour by two servicemen in Afghanistan," said a spokeswoman.
"The Royal Military Police (Special Investigations Branch) has launched an investigation into this. We take any such allegation extremely seriously.

What is most shocking is that they felt it was ok to film it and put it on show for the regiment...

    It must be rife

Misread, for you said it must be Fife <laugh>

Sure dodgy stuff like that goes on more than this one instance. There's quite a few ex squaddies who have been nicked recently for similar stuff after leaving the army.

What a load of bollocks!! It is not rife in the forces. in any group of people there will always be one bad apple when you have several thousand people there will be more than one bad apple, the rotten apples always find themselves together. To say this cant happen in our forces would be stupid we know it does the problem is on instance like this leads to a lot of others being tarnished with the same brush. On the whole our forces do a fantastic job worldwide without prejudice without personal feeling being involved. These idiots do not show a true representation of our british army. I know first hand of how the bad apples can effect morale and image of the forces having served in conflict myself and believe me they are hated more inside the army then any hatred they can recieve from Joe public.

    Name & shame:

Ian Tuckley - ex SAS from Farran Avenue, Credenhill, Hereford

Ex SAS man guilty of child rapes

A former SAS soldier and an ex-paramedic have both been jailed for a series of sex attacks on children.

Ex-soldier Ian Tuckley, 32, from Farran Avenue, Credenhill, Hereford, was told at Worcester Crown Court that he would serve at least 12 years and six months.

Last month he was found guilty on 15 charges.

His brother-in-law Martin Finney, 40, from Lord Street, Walsall, West Midlands, has been jailed for 12 years for 17 offences, including rape.

Tuckley, a twice-divorced father of two, was a dog handler in the SAS and served in Iraq and Afghanistan.

He was found guilty of raping and assaulting a girl aged between six and nine between 2006 and 2009.

He was also convicted of six counts of rape and four counts of indecent assault involving another child between 1996 and 2007, when she was aged between four and 15.

The British Army will pay the families a few goats and then we'll all forget about the sorry incident.

Check out Celtics preseason friendly against Arsenal on YouTube to get an idea of some Celtic fans opinions on the British Army.

Strangely they don't seem to have such issues with our countries armies.

Indeed, apologies for getting so defensive on this subject i just get riled when all this crap is made a bigger issue than it is. Like i said bad apples will appear everywhere from my days in the forces we had our own way of dealing with the bad apples well before the press ever got whiff of gossip. The forces put thier lives on the line because our government asks them to whether they agree or not unfortunatley the odd perv will slip through the net and give a bad name to many. Once again my apologies Bhoy from Brum.
