See a lot of Leeds unhappy with where the club's going, but I watched you against Arsenal and I thought you held them much better than we did. Also looked at your fixture list and you seem to have played most of the top teams away, so only 3 points off play-offs isn't too bad a place to be. Just so congested in the middle of the championship table. Play-offs are a nightmare though...
Ye well as long as the club is stable he can keep spinning his crap and throwing us excuses and taking us for a ride, soon as it gets worse he'll be out on his ass. Won't be long before the club starts losing money because of his dealings.
A lot of Leeds are unhappy, but not with the performances. Yeah there have been a couple of howlers, but we've had a decent, injury ravaged, season. We did play well at Arsenal, especially as it wasn't our first choice, and probably even second choice players in most of our back 4. The issue is the complete lack of ambition from the clubs owners to invest. We seem to consistently offer inadequate contracts to our best players, who can't be demanding wages that are completely unreasonable. All that results in is unhappy fans waiting around for the inevitable leave on a free situation. There is also seemingly a complete inability to spot the weaknesses in the team that the fans can see plainly. So when the rare investment does come, it is usually in a position that wasn't #1 priority to sort out. We've needed a good leading CB for over a year now.
Just to add to that it isn't like the club is hard up, the funds are coming in but they are lining Bates pocket. We are not being unreasonable, we just want to see Leeds competiting with the likes of Ipswich when it comes to loan players and wages and the likes of the entire division when it comes to signing a player.
well our little chums ipswich have a benefactor bankrolling them so they spend an absolute fortune on wages - i believe their wage bill is considerably higher than even norwich's and we are in the top flight! its not done them any favours either, as all that happens is older, rich players go there as a retirement home
