    You can't be serious?

Reina is amazing but Krul has been different class this year, your defence is better, midfield the same even with lucas (if you put Lucas and Gerrard with their wingers who are miles better than yours) and Demba Ba is one of the top scorers in the league.... where is Suarez?

Oh + Liverpool's strikeforce is probably the reason they are in 7th place, Newcastle's is the reason they're in 6th <ok>.

I dunno like ive always liked reina. You cant judge krul from this season. Thats next season. Without krul Newcastle would be 19th.

Mainly because we replace him with shola up front

well there we go,I suppose thats what these boards are for. I do think we will finish above you but how much of that is down to blind optimism I am not sure.

Very true, like I said, Reina is immense. I'm going on current form.

Whether it is just me being an eternal pessimist or not i'm not sure, but I fear some people are getting a little too excited. At the minute we are flying, no doubt, and confidence must be extremely high in the squad. However the measure of a truly good team is consistency in terms of battling through the rough patches and retaining a lofty position in the table (and by that I mean over the course of a few seasons at least, not a minor blip like the one we had, and then overcame).

Liverpool, as much as I hate them, have consistently been a top 7, or mostly better, team for any number of years now so i'd still argue that despite some poor form from some of their players that their first 11 and squad is better than ours.

I just really hope that if we maintain our form until the end of the season and finish in the top 7, we push on and continue into next season, rather than regressing after a season of over performing (Everton's champs league season springs to mind, as do a number of other examples). It's infinitely more difficult to break into that elite group at the top of the league however Spurs have shown that it is possible.

Krul has been world class this season. Infact Timmy Krul makes me drool, :D

On current form id pick a defence that doesnt leak so many shots for the keeper to make !! :)

@Drogs, if you're judging on current form then why is Ben Arfa considered better than Bellamy ?

My main opposition to Newcastle's XI is the fact Ben Arfa is put on the left to make the team look stronger on paper. Newcastle's right winger is either Taylor or Obertan, not Ben Arfa. Same with Maxi really, Downing has played more on the right than him.

in honesty i think liverpool will finish higher aswell
IF you dont, It will show money does not buy you a good team
It would also make us all laugh that kenny bought carrol and enrique for more then our starting 11

I had forgotten about Bellamy <ok>. They usually play Obertan (God knows why).

Ben Arfa has been playing on the right for the last few matches and with the signing of Cisse that will probably be where he continues to play. If you want I can put Downing in your XI but I thought Maxi is better.

He's had an off season and was injured for quite a few games. He's shown glimpses of his form since coming back from injury and I'm more than confident that he'll be back to his best <ok>

Don't think Lucas was poor before this season

Pardew doesn't want to play Ben Arfa on the wing. God knows why. He's a king there

Ben Arfa played on the Right on Saturday and also played right midfield in the second half against Blackburn in the cup. He also played there for a whole season with Marseille, so he's a more than competent winger :)

he also creates easy to run into gaps for our midfield. But creates many chances as a result.

Sorry i dont get it if its a joke on his mentality from his history.

I think our defenses are about the same, our midfield I would say edges Liverpool's, as does our attack. Liverpool have got a stronger squad though.

@Mifune, which games? I remember your games against Man Utd & QPR and I thought Ben Arfa was on da bench.

I agree Maxi is better but that formation or line up hasn't happened this season and I don't think it will, same with rour Newcastle one.
