I mean lately. He scored 1 goal since September, not exactly prolific that guarantees him a starting place.

I think either 4-3-3 or more likely 4-4-2 with Ba slightly behind Cisse and hopefully Ben Arfa on the right.

Either of these I would be very very happy with. As long as Ben Arfa is played!!

Pardew said before he sees Ba as a number 10, playing behind a big striker.

    Ben Arfa Cabaye Tiote Jonas
    ..............Ba
    .................Cisse

    or

    .............Tiote
    ......Cabaye..Guthrie
    HBA......................Ba
    .............Cisse

    Or something of the sort.

    I mean.. it's fantastic!

this has turned into formation porn like every bloody newcastle thread.! cmon guys pardew doesnt get it right so we never will!

    Cisse BA
    HBA
    Guti Tiote Cabaey

i think that would be the best way to run out midfield and attack, but we all know pards is ganna 442 it

I thought Gutierrez did really well in agree role when Cabaye went off. HBA loves doing things by himself, which is great as he has the skill to do it, but he will need to be told to just get the ball to these two up front.

    ..............Tiote................
    ............Cabaye...............
    HBA.......................Jonas
    ................Ba.................
    ..............Cisse...............

I don't want Ba coming too deep but Cisse is like what Van Nistlerooy used to be, always in the box, loves a tap in.

"Pardew doesnt get it right"? We're sixth, playing his way. And the problem with a 4-3-1-2 is that your full backs have to provide all the width - Santon can do that, Simpson cant.

All of Ba's best games were him playing off Best/Shola though, he doesnt lead the line too well. I think he'll play behind Cisse.

We need to play 4-4-2. I'm going to say it, but Ben Arfa was **** in the number 10 role, he didn't get enough room. Out wide he has plenty, no brainer for me.

Which is probably why Pardew's had problems with playing Ben Arfa in my opinion. Just doesn't know where to play him. Doesn't think he's a right winger, and HBA in behind Ba won't necessarily work.

How many can he get is one thing, how many will he get is another.

I agree. 4-3-3 would be wasting either Ba/Cisse on the wing, plus Ben Arfa will cut inside in any formation. To be fair to him though, he only actually started in the hole against the top 4 teams.
