Fact is he is a British citizen. How, what, why and when is irrelevant He was convicted, charged and jailed, served his time end of story As to why should we continue to allow him to saty and support, the same could be said about any released prisoner, say the jamie bulger killer He IS being held illegally, as there is NO charge and he has done his time Abu Qatada - Fact is NO charges, the law in this country decreed NOT to send him to teh US, the lords tried to bypass the law and again have lost Why should he go to any country which even our legal system has agreed wouldnt give him a fair trial? Bush and Blair are seen as terrorists by some, its our laws that I am talking about Babar Ahmad is held under the same laws as the other 2. held without charge or trial and waiting extradition You say you disagree with the extradition treaty between UK /US yet are happy for some to go and not others? there is a word for that
Since SN23 is banned I'll do the obligatory apache gunship video.
How Hamza acquired his citizenship is entirely relevant. The Secretary of State can deprive him of it, if it's deemed to be in the best interests of the public. It clearly is and it should be. Comparison to UK-born citizens is irrelevant and he's not being held illegally. Nice of you to try and ignore both terrorist organisations and the UN, but Abu Qatada is clearly a member of Al-Qaeda. He's wanted by multiple countries, but the law in this country hasn't decided not the send him to the US. The ECHR has blocked his extradition to Jordan. I disagree with the terms of the UK/US extradition treaty, but I don't disagree with extradition itself, in principle. Each case should be judged on it's own merits. In what way is that hypocrisy? It's not like I'm an anti-Western religious lunatic who's abusing the hospitality of a Western country and living on it's benefits system, is it?
Thankyou PNP, we are now delving into the mind of Fan. There are many more terrible injustices going on in this world even in our own country, yet this person feels that his adgenda to bring it to our attention. I would ask you to Google Hollie Grieg and give me your opinions on what has gone on there, but I have done before and it fell on deaf ears.
In all honesty mate its more about the morals and values of the posters (PNP etc) that i am interested in rather than the defence of the people in question Further to this I like to expose hypocricy wherever it arises Are we to believe that when the going gets tough, the so called sense of justice/values/morals etc can be easily sold down the river?
Of course its not relevant, he is a British citizen so should be tried as such. I am not aware that citizen can be readily stripped, however if it can then only after a fair trial and hearing should it be done so. He has served his time and is being held withot charge, that is illegal however you look at it. There are no further charges against him Abu Qatada - I wasnt ignoring anything. If he is a terrorist or has indeed committed a crime charge him and try him. He is being held without charge The law in this country was the first to block his extradition to jordan (did I say US? apologies). The lords overturned it without rhyme nor reason. ECHR has confirmed what the courts of THIS country said. With regards to wanted by several countries, SO? so is blair and tzippi Livni and roman polanski etc SO you agree/disagree when it suits? none of these cases are being judged on merit. Had they been these men wouldnt be being held illegally or beaten No where does it say you have to like this country to live here. Tehse men are not a threat to this country or they would be charged
so? how is this relevant to the argument? I disagree with racism and racist violence. But if a man commits a racist offence and serves his time, move on If he is suspected of it, i would expect evidence and a charge
I never before had heard this cuckoo. Its got me seething. The police are useless dont know what else to say, its a travesty and my heart goes out to the lass
If AQ hasn't been charged with anything then how is he a terrorist? Either charge him and send him to jail and deport him when his sentence is over or let him go free. Surely you can't deport someone who hasn't commited a criminal offence? I see where TFWNN is coming from here. Posters on this site and people in mainstream society seem keen to judge someone when they don't know the facts of the 'case'
I think I remember this being brought up before. The whole thing seems a bit odd, but most of the accused wouldn't want to take legal action against their accuser because they simply wouldn't win. If you successfully sue a kid with Downs Syndrome, then you still lose. No idea how true any of it is, as most of the information that I can find seems to come from one perspective.
RE: Fan. Abu Hamza's citizenship is a privilege. He abused that privilege, so he should lose it. He's already been tried and found guilty, so it's purely down to the Home Secretary's discretion now, I think. He's being held because he's wanted for trial on extremely serious charges elsewhere. Only the serious nature of those charges is preventing his extradition, as he may face the death penalty for them. Abu Qatada is wanted in 8 countries, which vary enormously. He entered this country illegally in the first place. Not only do the UN mark him as a terrorist, but other terrorists do too. Polanksi should be jailed for his self-confessed child molestation, so I can see why you've lumped him in with this scumbag. Are you actually backing the accusers of Livni? Fan and the Israelis in bed together. That's new. Where is Blair wanted? In what way is taking each case on it's merits agreeing or disagreeing when it suits me? That appears to be exactly what you're doing, in fact. Muslim? Ok, regardless of actions. Western? Burn the heretic! You don't have to like this country to live here, but why do so many frothing religious loons decide to do so? Surely there are other places that would suit their needs far better than this one, which they simultaneously hate and yet scrounge from? RE: King Qatada's a terrorist according to absolutely everyone. The 8 countries that want to try him, the UN itself and even his fellow terrorists. He's a jihadist who promoted Bin Laden and Al-Qaeda. He accepts suicide bombing as martyrdom. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-16574166 He's not wanted in this country, but the European Court of Human Rights won't allow his extradition to Jordan to face punishment for his crimes there, so he's stuck here. It's essentially a license to do whatever you want in countries with poor human rights records and then run here to escape legal action.
He was also visited regualrly by the intelligence services who wanted him to influence the young Muslims of Britain to be peaceful..................
Abu Hamza's citizenship can be revoked at any time, if the Secretary of State decides that he's a threat or that his presence in this country isn't conducive to the public good. It has nothing to do with his crimes. I've never mentioned race, so I'm not sure why you've decided to bring it up. A British-born citizen cannot have their citizenship revoked, as far as I'm aware, so it's not an option. This prick can be removed, so he should be. British law doesn't state that he can't be sent to a country that has the death penalty. You're wrong. We wouldn't be able to extradite anyone to the US otherwise, would we? As for the Blair, Bush and Livni examples, you're yet to say where Blair's wanted, you just brought up Bush for the first time and there is no warrant for Livni. Send Qatada to Palestine? How? He doesn't hold a legitimate passport. Charge him? He's not being accused of committing any offences in this country. That's why he's being extradited. Nobody's basing anything on ethnicity or religion, except you. Each case is being tried on it's merits. You simply choose to back terrorists because they share your faith, something I clearly can't be accused of. I've shown no prejudice either, as you've repeatedly and consistently bashed anything non-Muslim and backed anything done by a Muslim, including the murder of other Muslims, bizarrely. What the hell do various child murderers have to do with anything? You keep throwing them in randomly for no reason. They have absolutely no relevance. When have I ever mentioned race as a factor in anything that I've said? I couldn't give a crap about the colour of anybody's skin. Those that spout hatred and anti-Western rhetoric whilst stealing from those that they despise are scum. I don't care who they are or where they're from. If Qatada was happy to leave, then why did he have his extradition blocked? Oh, you mean he was happy to leave to a country that wouldn't send him to one of the 8 that he's wanted in! That's ok, then.
why is that a problem? and as far as I kniw the push is specifically for Jordan no mention of the other countries, wonder why that is?
The real shocker though PNP is the supposed suicide of the girls uncle after he caught her father rodgering her. He was found in a burnt out car. The sheriffs verdict was suicide. Then a reporter got hold of the autopsy report, which stated he had broken ribs broken skull and many other superficial wounds. Suicide my ass. I think he went to the Police and they ended up silencing him.
