Yes, but I thought I'd point out the Chelsea fans that do so, just as you did with the Spurs fans.
And John Terry's always worth calling a racist.

Yes but that's not what I was replying to, I replied to what you said about the Arsenal fans actions against Adebayor.

  6. Of course not.

Some helpful fan could see that one of the marshals looked a bit peckish and he thought to himself, "Hello! this gives me a chance to show a kindly gesture by offering the poor hungry fellow this banana that I happen to have on me," so he lobbed the banana at the marshal, but over-estimated it, and it hit Adebayor. I bet that fan was right embarrassed! He must have thought to himself, "Stone the bloody crows! People are going to think that I'm calling Ade a monkey, now!"

That's how it must have been. All entirely innocent, and nothing more than a very simple case of a fan throwing his match-day banana in the wrong direction.

Mm! missed the point as usual! Chelsea spent a handful of years finishing 4th,5th and 6th, then bridged the gap to finish 2nd in 04 and in that year you were rightfully considered challengers. Spurs have spent the last few years finishing 4th,5th and 6th, we now have every chance of finishing 2nd, yet you don't afford us the same opinion. So you, dickhead line and ginger twat, you all have a little suck on that for a while! <ok>

  9. I'm with you all the way, brother.

I'm sure that there's been many a misunderstanding betwixt good-natured fan and his match-day banana. Personally, I've never even thought about taking a banana to a football match, let alone lobbing one at the officials, but I can perfectly understand that, for all those guys who wouldn't be caught dead at a football match without a banana in their pocket misunderstandings could so very easily happen.

You don't have to explain yourself to me, friend.

    <laugh>

I think we've all got over the black and white divide (which was never really there in my opinion) between the 'optimists' and 'pessimists' and realised that we're all passionate about our club even if we differ about how it's managed <peacedove>

Ignoring the **** stirrers who are just there to use the tension try and drive a wedge between fans ....... It probably was all Jayram's fault <laugh>

  12. Spoil sport!

How are we supposed to get our kicks if you simply ignore our best attempts to wum?

  13. Listen, SNIAW, I know full well that you are not a racist, but you cannot expect me to give up pure comedy gold dust like that! Come on, mate! That wouldn't be fair.

On the bright side, I'll probably get bored of that signature in a couple of weeks' time and take to having another crack at Jayram <ok>

Rightfully considered challengers <laugh> give it a ****ing rest mate, can you ever resist NOT having a pop at us having a change of ownership in '03? Were we not considered challengers every year after that?

I did miss your point about being 4th 5th and 6th and will admit it and when have I deprived you of your opinion of finishing 2nd? I've said countless times I think City will win it by miles and that the other 3 could finish in any order.

Just to clear up the 'Bananagate' issue

I have taken Bananas to football matches before. Most food inside football grounds is overpriced processed ****e. Anyone who knows anything about nutrition will understand that a slow release of potassium is just what you need to keep your energy levels up.... and all for around 20p. <ok>

If I'd have been at Man City that day, I would definitely have chucked my banana at Adebayor. If you watch the video again, people are throwing whatever they could get their hands on. Not right, but understandable in the heat of the moment - but not evidence of a racially motivated gesture.

  18. Fair dos, mate. One of the reasons why I put you at the top of my "favourite Gooner to have a half-decent conversation with" is because you can take it as well as dish it out. Something that most of your kindred fans seem unable to do.

You already admitted that Jayram does your wumming for you <laugh>

And with your confession that your wumming is no longer allowed, you've demonstrated why you were banned from our board <ok>
