Just watched the Sheff Wed game in its entirety on CAFC Player - what showed up was how much thuggery was going on on the part of Sheff Wed - there were several times during the game when they were berating the ref and even a couple of occasions when Charlton players were hacked to the ground yet were then having a go at the guy on the ground. I even saw one bit of play where a Sheff Wed player was giving Kermy a kick while one of players was on the ground getting treatment some 20 metres away.
I have got no idea how the guy who hacked down Pritchard for Jackos free kick stayed on the pitch - yet wasnt even booked !

It was quite a ferocious game. But what stood above it all was our skill and professionalism.A truly classy performance.

Wiggins got elbowed- they moaned. Semedo was last man in the dying minutes when he commited that cynical foul- we were called southern softies. Rob jones only form of defence is to wrap his arms around the attacker - he's penalised purely because of his height.

Just a few examples of wednesday fans view of the game. Add that to Megson swearing and Morrison at CP.. I really hope they now struggle. Horrible club, and the fans were far too touchy on sat night ;)

And when I mean horrible- just to clarify I mean the current regime.

Yes, Stu - what I thought was so level headed was how we took all this stuff being dished out and never once reacted badly (as I remember).

I said on another thread that it was poetic justice that that the game's worst foul was rightly punished with a goal.

As my dear old Mum would say "God pays his debts without money". :emoticon-0105-wink:

Fixed that one for you. <ok>

The 'Wiggins dived' claim was the funniest one of the lot. Clear as day that it was a head injury (I wasn't on Madine elbow watch, so can't say for sure about the cause) and it left us massively exposed on the left side, which they exploited. Yeah, sure, he took a dive...

Another funny tale was that we were quiet and they were loud. Hardly heard anything from their fans... Apart from when they get excited by every single corner/throw in/long ball in to the box.

To be fair, I heard them sing a 'you'll never get past Semedo' song right after he was booked for that last man back tackle.

Overall, it was like every away Yorkshire game I've been to. First they get wound up by the ref not giving them everything, then they shout a lot when they get a corner.

Their 'timewasting' whinge is very funny when you remember that they had towels on each touchline for drying the ball.

I have zero respect for them under Megson.

It was also very lame of them to not serve beer in the carling stand. I read in an away guide before the game they often do these for the "big games", in order to placate the away fans and to not make them too boisterous.

I remember that one from last year!

I know a couple of Owls and they're good banter.

You're all forgetting the rousing chorus(es) of Hi Ho Silver Lining...<laugh>

BTW, the stream of nauseating guff about "Young Karl Robinson" (I kid you not) and MK Dons superior passing game "proving there's more than one way out of the lower divisions", tonight on the BBC commentary has been toe-curlingly awful.

These guys should get out more.

Did they sing along to that? I could only see and hear them clapping.

I wonder is Red Red Robin blared that loudly in the Jimmy Seed. I hope it is.

Karl Robinson is fairly young, to be fair, and he's the greatest manager since Sliced Bread led Preston North End invincibles to the league title, and he's definitely DEFINITELY not desperate for a bigger job than McDonalds.

Its becoming a recuring theme where we're being kicked off the pitched, it happened when we went 1-0 up against Sheffield Wednesday and it happened during the second half against Huddersfield.

I really hope the opposition isnt going to start going into these games from now on with the theory of... we cant beat you, we'll just injure all your players so we can catch up that way...
