...so please keep on the look-out for me for some choice quotes from our bitter rivals. I've seen a few howlers, mostly on the Gooner board, but nothing has quite jumped out at me. The problem I am having is that all the best Gooner quotes read like suicide notes and, as hilarious as I found them at first, they are beginning to grate with me, now. If I was still permitted to post on their board, I confess I'd probably spend most of my time telling some of the worst cases to grow a pair. Ironically, that would probably mark me out as a wum, and I'd soon be banned again. I guess they still can't cope with my fantastic avatar. Anyway, I digress. I'm looking for some great quotes, either singly, or that can be woven into a little tale. I'm sure you know the kind of thing.
I should add that I am not necessarily looking for Gooner quotes. Since forming their rather bizarre alliance with the Gooners, the Chavs have started to pipe up with some classics. And the Mickey Mousers are always prone to put their foot in their collective mouth when we least expect it (which is probably never, to be fair).
That would certainly be ideal, PNP. But if I am going to give pride of place to a single quote (or even a small series of short quotes) it has (or they have) got to be up their with the best of them.
You could even say indecisive PNP, can't make his mind up...in Hiags defence, such is the plethora of material I do understand the dilemna, however as The Highlander says, there can be only one! About your current sig... The answer to that is a resounding NO!, Chelsea fans can only dream of having the right to be that whingy, Pool fans at least have 2 decades of dominance to base their drivel on. Its all a bit flash in the pan down there.
I know what you mean, notso. It's just that I suddenly saw a flash of complete and utter arrogance in that quote that I had only hithertobefore seen in the comments of Mickey Mousers. Jeez! Even the worst of the Gooner wums have never been quite that arrogant!
I had a feeling that you might go for that, HIAG. I didn't suggest it, because SNIAW's almost certainly the most balanced, sensible and articulate Arsenal fan that posts on here. Can't say that I agree with him on this one, though.
My thoughts exactly, PNP. And I've just posted a note to that effect, on that thread. I do not, for one second, believe that SNIAW is a racist, but his comments are very naive (as well as being pure comedy gold dust), and just the kind of thing I was looking for!
You need the quotes of others to make you feel more of a person? it's akin to the childish comeback, "at least I am not XXXX" then again, maybe you are putting far too much stock in what people say on a forum, but if it makes you feel better about yourself, knock yourself out Sad little man, go out get some fresh air, try life, it ain't as bad as you think it is
