I know there's 2 weeks left in the transfer window but I haven't seen much action (other than those already in the bag) from City.

Lots of potentials being bandied around such as swaps here and there but nothing confirmed as yet and it leaves me with questions regarding any future deals. The major one is about Nicky because I haven't seen anyone breaking down the doors to get his somewhat recently tarnished goal scoring prowess. Do you think he will just disappear in to the mist at the end of the season or will we end up with a less than satisfactory resolution?

The scottish connections such as Sandaaza etc appear to have gone off the radar (Aberdeen captain is the exception) and some of us thought that north of the border was going to be a hotbed for us on the recruiting front.

I know rumours are just that, but what do you guys hear on the local grapevine (or apple orchard) in regard to what might happen next?

Mike been impressed with his signings so far.
But team selection is a big concern.
Saturday was a major mistake how that team lined up.
I thought this guy was on the button, but hey hopefully he will see his mistakes.

I would agree on the new signings redrobin and I think if we are realistic we should know that they will take more time to fit in with the squad.

My problem is with the squad because we have dropped back to our usual apathetic stuff and surely we do need more players. Have noticed a lot of stuff on this site regarding team selection lately and not quite sure what that's all about - is it down to trying every permutation available or something else?

On another point - what's going to happen to Nicky? I believe he's outlived his welcome at AG and things should have been a whole lot better, but now he must move on, no matter what!

Let's hope everything sorts itself out and we move on to better times because we've earned.

That's what I'm asking shiny. Have team selection and shape been dictated by available players or is there another point to be proved.

Should have started with Bolasie or jcr on the wing, playing cole there who is not a winger was crazy.

100% agree woolford simply not good enough, he was one of the wrong decisions in the team selection.
The guy has not impressed since signing for city.

most clubs out there arent stupid, they know that the long they wait the price of Nicky will go down as we have 13 lucky days to sell him if we want anymore for him if not in the summer he walks for free. I the club will either need to lower their price now or end up selling him or a lot less or nothing at all but i do think its clear, for the club he has to go as it is starting to cause unrest and for the club to move forward to need to band together.

Think player trade is going to be our best option

yeah it felt like we had no player who could pick the ball up at his feet and just run at the defense, something Albert and Pearson do quite regularly looking back now i think del should have selected the defencive and midfield like this

    Skuse Wilson Nyatanga McGivern

    Bolasie Elliott Cisse Foster

no kilkenny in the side but it was obvious we went up there not to concede rather than score, but with bolasie and foster on the wings we could of had pace and threat going foward something woolford and skuse are not capable of due to skuse being defensive and woolford who just inst any good

Watched the florist leicster fa cup replay last night and our midfield missing link was there!! Andy Reid a class attacking midfielder in a very poor forest side. maybe worth a cheeky offer knowing the financial situation forest are in right now. One other thing from last night Beckford full of energy chasing down defenders and a hat trick, think sven did well bringing him in instead of Nicky in the end looked quality.

Either way, the time for tinkering too much with team selection must come to an end. It's time for the 11 players who are chosen on the day to deliver 3 points against Doncaster for starters. Sod the performance, just need a win of any kind.

    - Yet one that we couldn't beat yet again in the league whilst everyone else scores hatfuls against them. I still wouldn't bet on them finishing below us though and that's the scary thing.
