At first glance Nass I quite like the look of Rear Gunner. Has won over the trip last January at Kempton (class 3 off a mark of 115, beat the likes of Moleskin and Rey Nacarado) on Gd/soft, soft in places, and travelled well on his seasonal reappearance at Folkestone before tiring and not given a hard time. He's dropped a couple of pounds for that and I think he'll strip much fitter here. Sam Thomas had a good second for the yard the other day and at 20/1 I think he is worth a speculative e/w dabble <ok>

Stick, further down the horse racing section. The ones at the top are stickied by Ron (don't ask)

Oddy, interesting stuff and a nice price. Stick, I don't like that horse, don't think he is good enough at his fences.

    Quick question-

When you lay a bet on betfair for example for £2 on odds of 2.98 it takes the liability out of your account which is £3.96

If the horse looses I take it you get back the £3.96 + the £2 stake??

Woolcombe, yes I believe that is right, minus betfair percentage if I recall. Probably be around 10p betfair deduction for that stake.

Desert Strike to me is a pure five furlong horse and I would like him tomorrow if it wasn't for two issues. Issue one, Nora Looby, who isn't a good claimer by any means, she won on him but I think that was more to do with luck (and the horse) than her riding skills. However more worrying is that the horse hasn't troubled the judge on four runs at the course, he is much better at Wolverhampton and that worries me here.

The two I like in that race are Triple Dream and Rylee Mooch, the formers last run at Southwell should be ignored (didn't like the ground imho) and that makes him the one to beat here, whilst Rylee Mooch could take advantage of the small field. Rylee Mooch is interesting because I think he is another who is better on the polytrack and at 7/1 I think he is jolly good value. Small saver on Triple Dream too.

SJ; the site host "SOCIALGO" has pulled the plug on all the free site it supported without warning.
Such a shame as there was such a good rapport on there.
Many users frequented both and looking through the threads it seems a lot of info filtered over.
Its nice to have somewhere to go though and I for one am grateful that I still have somewhere to post.

An unconvincing 1-0 win for QPR but good enough to make me 1 from 1 on not606 ;-)

Stick - I echo your thoughts completely. I must admit to being an infrequent poster on fugees but always enjoyed reading, and when posting being part of, the banter. I must admit to not being taken with not606 but from what I read it does seem like Ron's doing a fantastic job with the forum. And nice to see a lot of the old 606 gang, along with all the other names, posting on here. I'm sure I'll enjoy reading, and occasionally posting, over on this site.
