Interesting. Not what I'd have done but I'm not on 50k a week to decide.

It certainly looks like Hughes wants to get a win under his belt as soon as possible.

Can't say I blame him. Good way to work on what ever tactical changes he's looking at as well.

Interesting that Helguson is the one making way for Macheda to start, as I thought the Italian could feed effectively off his lay off and knock downs. On the other hand, Betty holds to ball up quite well - one thing that he appears capable of doing at least - so perhaps that's Spunky's thinking?

strongest team we have available in my humble opinion so MH must want to cement his ethic into them early on and suppose it will be beneficial to be used to the system before our next PL game which is an important one.

    come on you rrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr's

Helguson the one to suffer the most with two games in 48 hours me thinks.

Let's hope his early bath is the result of being subbed and not red-carded, then

Believe Helguson may have picked up a few knocks at Newcastle - Hughes keeping him in reserve if all else fails - hopefully not the case tonight. Leaving work early today to catch the game on TV.

Thanks for family loyalty Wrighty.... Iwill be in the corner of the winner.

So he thinks we will lose.

Looking at the team when JB returns from suspension I can only see it being Derry to be taken out due to last game and being played around, lack of passing range. Then again MH may get a new midfield in by then....... or not.
