Dont think we need another target man. Would rather have a paocher type. When Fraizer comes back it will be a massive boost
can't see this happening chunky but football never ceases to amaze me so you never know i suppose, maybe O'Neill can succeed where other managers have failed in motavating him, because when he's on his game he's unplayable. Saying that, very unlikely imo
I was always a big Jones fan when he was here the first time. However, he wasn't at all universally popular and it rare that it works for players who go back to clubs... Probably just paper talk anyway...
Two things Kenny was brilliant at imo is defending & attacking set pieces. Might just work for us this.
Aside from Bent, he is the only striker that has really made me **** a little bit when it came to the derby! Awful to play against if he's up for it and good at getting on the end of crosses (you have probably the best crosser in the Premier League in Larrson) makes perfect sense to me!
As it did to the journo who made the story up haha. I doubt we'll get him tbh, I wouldn't mind him, though.
Thought Kenwyne was a joke of a striker. Couldn't hit a barn door with a tank. But we're not having the best of luck with our central defenders at the minute, and that's one area he was always good at helping out in. If it's a loan, I'd go with it just for his excellent defensive work. Nowt else mind, and I wouldn't want him back permanent.
This would represent the first massive negative piece of news of the Mon era, if it proves true, as I think Jones is totally crap. We need a decent striker not a failed Stoke City reject. This signing would represent a huge step backward imo. Very depressing news

Must admit I never rated the lad Billy. Not because he didn't have talent, he did. Indeed I always feared the derbies in case he was having an "on" day. Bit like wor lass I suppose! He just struck me as talented but a little lazy. Certainly divided my Mackem mates. Split right down the middle between cult hero and wanting to chop his head off. one of those players I suppose.
