happy harry.... this is the guy who corwed and bleate don and on about cahill for the past 3 transfer windows and finally shut up this one? harry the bargain hunter and serial under payer? hmmm... me thinks chelsea just got screwed o nthe wages side but had to buy someone. Harry will be touting round for the next bargain but stragely, shockingly no more modric's or bales have been found by tottenham have they? Oh one cannot doubt that friedal and parker were fine aquisitions for the now and adebayor on a short term deal will get them so far as well but you just can't help feeling that unless this ottenham youth tema we are hearing about come to fruition the only way they'll buy big is to sell big. I for one don't want to drop 20mil on a half fit, less than sharp reserve.... with injury history.
GMT Borussia Dortmund forward Mohamed Zidan has revealed that either he or team-mate Lucas Barrios will be leaving the German champions this winter. Full story I would take Lucas barrios in a heartbeat, can do a lot other than just score as well. Zidan is just a dribbler for me.
my mate said something about Shaqiri being bid for by Liverpool Newcastle and ManU, but him being a very questionable mate and that we havent heard anything about this, I wouldnt look much into it
I do find it strange that a lot of teams lower down the league have managed to find forwards who can score 10-15 goals a season in a team struggling and that don't create many chances yet we are struggling even though we should be able to attract better players and create a load more chances. Yakubu at Blackburn, Fletcher at Wolves, Zamora at Fulham, Bent at Villa, Graham at Swansea, Morrison at Norwich, Crouch at Stoke, Ba at Newcastle. All examples of cheap players (apart from Bent) who have managed to score goals in the Prem for their respective sides. It does make me think maybe we are looking for that £20mil player who is going to be "another Suarez" when we should maybe be looking for that £5-£10mil player who would come with no pressure and chip in with 10-15 goals in the same way most of the above have? Go to players like Germany which is a similar league and see who is around there. Africa seems to be producing some great players who are powerful and would suit our league (Ba, Y Toure, Drobra amongst many others) but we never seem to pick them up either.
I know not for the now but we just had two boys on trial at LFC. A ghanain and someone called " baby Drogba".
Always worried by people being called "the next ......" just hypes them and if they don't live up to the reputation then they are seen as a complete failure. It does seem that African players have the natural physical attributes to suit our game and by going and playing in France/Germany early on they pick up the relevant technical skills as well. Think it's only a matter of time before we see on a regular basis African teams in the latter stages of the WC.
Ghana and ivory Coast are right there imo. Nigeria should be but their federation is all over the place. cameroon should be as well but they keep stumbling.
If you want to stoke the fire..... a player we have actually been linked with in the past but with the recent Sow comments......hmmmmm GMT Nolan Roux is to join Lille from Brest for a fee of €8 million after the French champions paid his release clause. "I am at peace with my conscience," Brest president Michel Guyot told his club's official website. "I want to thank Nolan. He played a major role in our promotion to the league. We wish him well, but we will put a little clause to prevent him from playing against us in April."
John Henry and Co are looking at Dalglish's signings and thinking what the **** have we done here? They can't sack or speak out against him because they know he is bummed by all Liverpool supporters, to do such a thing will turn everyone against them till they feel like H&G mkII. So instead they will keep their wallets in their pockets.
scott dann rumour is back... or should i say a press hack got wind of him not being happy so he recycled the summer story... what a hack
Normally ESPN doesn't just post gossip ( too much at least) http://soccernet.espn.go.com/news/s...pool-to-bring-in-portuguese-youngster?cc=5901 Also known as jaoa Teixeira.
seems legit now.... GMT Liverpool have agreed a deal with Sporting Lisbon, close to £1 million, to sign one of their most talented young academy players: 19-year-old Joao Carlos who has been likened to Deco.
This one seem's to be gathering pace, £1mil would be a steal for him considering he is touted as one of their best young player's in a fantastic academy. Does'nt sound like a great deal of Sporting though.
Apparenlty money troubles, must be bad for a prize assett to go for that much, same age Ronaldo went for some 12-15 mil right? Same with nani ( miht have beeen older) Miguel Veloso a few years back went to Geneo for peanuts and Porto spent the Meireles money on Moutinho.
it seems to be true al right was about to post http://www.liverpoolfc.tv/news/media-watch/liverpool-to-sign-youngster it could be a good un no question if he's part of that team he's way better than anything we've got now.
