Wheres the surprise. In the summer we will lose Clayton, Howson and Snoddy but our gullible supporters will of course see it as a positive. They will be called greedy and having no interest in the club as was said of Johnson, Gradel, Beckford, Delph. But were used to it now, and for the first time for me as a Leeds supporter, when I read the article, I really couldn't care less. Far more important things in life than poxy Bates and his merry men
Eireleeds I dont think theres too many gullible supporters left! Nothing suprises me with Bates, in fact I would only be shocked if he got his wallet out.
Love it! Might take a while to lose the 10 stone, though. Buggered if I know how to lose the 30 years!
Kissa, I never played to even that level! Was a decent RM in my early - mid teens though, not sure I'd be fast enough after about 8 years of not really playing! I'd play for pretty low wage and travel expenses from Durham though!
If he doesn't sign a new contract now I wouldn't mind betting that we will sell him in this window. Bates knows he will pocket a lot more for a player on an 18 month contract than a 12 - Under Bates we have become a small feeder club that is becoming renown for not being able to offer wages that a player deserves.
Shako, i do not know how he manages on 8k, i am finding it hard on 8.75k NOW......LOL Bates is a self righteous prick, and Grayson is a spineless yes man, so **** the football its driving me mad and to drink....but thats not such a bad thing, is it!
Why not Leeds City if you remember I said yesterday I wish we had another team in Leedsthat would put a spanner in his works we could play at the John Charles centre too I,M sure we could get some like minded people with money interested.
This tactic the club has with contracts has failed time and time again. The fact is, the key players that have left - Beckford, Kilkenny, Johnson - were all on low wages. Beckford signed from non-league, Johnson from Northampton and Kilkenny from Birmingham reserves. They were on wages at the low end of our squad. But since their initial contracts, they proved themselves within the squad and deserved wages to reflect that. I don´t think the club are offering them wages to reflect that. Think back to Johnson - he claimed he wanted equality, whilst the club claimed they´d offered him wages almost double his current salary and he was asking for nearly triple. That to me sounds like when Johnson signed, he was on maybe 2-3 grand, the club offered 6 grand and he wanted nearer 9 grand, which would have been equal with other first team regulars like AOB, Schmeichel etc. So the club can claim they´ve offered a improved contract, but the offer still won´t have been equal with other first teamers because the players signed on low wages when they were nobodies. The same is happening with White, Howson and Clayton. They´ve since proved themselves in the squad since they signed their initial contracts, but the club aren´t offering them equality with other first teamers who signed when they were established at other clubs- ie. Lonergran, Bruce, Connolly etc. who were established footballers when they signed for the club. How can we expect players to show loyalty to the club, when the club tries to pull a fast one and offer them wages that don´t reflect their status in the squad?
Back your not wrong we are doomed, we are in DEEP poo m8 good to see youve learned to put pics up you after my job?
You wallies always recon the den is loud, could never see it myself until sat.Sure I could hear the booing at palace.
I have heard that howson is currently on 12k and is after 24k, if this is true I think howson is taking the pi££. I just hope we don't go backwards and let White, clayton, snodgrass and howson go due to contract breakdowns. You have to love old ken!
Tired of all the bullshit! Clayton,White and Howson will all go! Our club is being run by idiots and we have a manager who can't defend! We will finish mid table at best this season.....
18 months left on Claytons contract. At least there is time to agree terms or get a good price for him, left it too late for Howson and White
