    If she likes you mate, then she'd probably just want one person wanting to be with her (i.e. you), rather than wanting a crap load of guys asking her out all the time, girls just aren't like that, (most of them)

    Go for it mate.

    (Oh, and my advice, don't deal with women. Ever. Smile and nod. Unless it's something serious, then look serious and agree with what they're saying)

    But in all honesty mate, you've said it wont be awkward if you ask her out, so go for it. You said she likes you so theres no reason she'd say no, hell even if she only likes you as a friend she will probably say yes so she doesnt hurt your feelings.

    I'm sure if sure if a good looking, athletic bloke asked her out, it would make her feel good, as she would feel like blokes of high caliber liked the way she looked. But i'm not good looking at all, and i reckon if i ask her out of all people, it would make her feel worse that only a bloke like me would want her.

    But it will make her feel good about herself, if she's getting the mickey taken out of her the whole time and not getting compliments then her self-esteem is low and by asking her out will make her think that someone likes her for who she is, especially as your close friends.
