    Here <ok>

    And everybody is partly biased.

If you support a football team you cannot be impartial.

Once City have beaten you at the Etihad on Sunday, let's call it about 3.25pm the gap will be 8 points with you still having to play Arsenal, Liverpool, Chelsea away as well as tough places like Everton, Sunderland and QPR. Even Villa and Bolton (where you have not won in nearly 16 years in the league) is by no means a formality.

If any Spurs fan that thinks they are in with a realistic chance after Sunday when City win then I'd recommend they either book themselves an emergency appointment with their GP or hand themselves in to the men in white coats because even sides like United and Chelsea with experience and pedigree in this competition would find that a tough ask to overhaul given the fixtures you face.

    Especially when their African players return, they will win the title at a canter. My idea of the finishing positions are;

    1) City
    2) Chelsea
    3) United
    4) Spurs/ Arsenal
    6) Liverpool

    Ginge <ok>

Totally agree. I have said all along that 2nd is not out of our reach. Any United fan that thinks with their current midfield and injuries they can keep up is deluded. United have only closed the gap because City have had to play Liverpool, Chelsea, Arsenal, Sunderland and in form teams over the last 6 weeks whilst United have had to play QPR, Fulham, Bolton, Wolves and just sides that are struggling for form and goals in general.

I think City will win the league on around the 90 point mark.

IF and I repeat IF we beat Norwich or better somehow beat Swansea and then United I think we would at worst be 2 or 3 points behind them which is not irretrievable.

Very exciting season ahead and sorry if I have made your job on here difficult but all I was saying is that nothing is won or lost in January and Spurs fans seem to be hopping around these forums as if we are in April or worse, May. I can't see how any team can be considered genuine title contenders in January, especially Spurs.

Even as Late as Valentines Day last year, Arsenal were 4 points behind United and were there immediate challengers. Come May they just about scraped 4th despite having played both Chelsea and City Twice.

They only had 3 games (out of 12) of the top 6 left to play and two of those were at home.

Spurs have to play all of the top 6 (7 if you include Newcastle) and only 2 of those are at home.

If any Spurs fan wants to call me a WUM for pointing out the fact they cannot sustain this form against the better sides then so be it. But Spurs have proven that their attractive style of football or whatever does not work against the big sides.

Where was it against United, City and Chelsea? (The top 3). And I am not including Arsenal because this is a team that has leaked more goals than any other side away from home and play more open than the Grand Canyon and Liverpool are an abysmal outfit. I still can't work out how we lost to them.

If I am proven wrong then so be it but not even Barcelona could travel to Chelsea, Arsenal, City, Liverpool away and then have United at home (which most Spurs fans view as a guaranteed loss) and not expect to drop points. It simply isn't possible.

Apart from Chelsea who in 09/10 beat all of the top 4 home (and away) I can't think of a team that has come through such a tough run of away fixtures in their last few games, bear in mind WHL, Anfield and OT made up 3 of our last 5 games

It hasn't at all. The argument all along was that PNP, yourself and fellow Spurs fans took offence to the fact I said you are not in the title race and aren't realistic challengers.

I am not ashamed to admit that in 09/10 once we drew to Blackburn I thought all hope was lost because I could not see how we could to go to Old Trafford, WHL and Anfield in our last 5/6 games and realistically maintain a title challenge, especially as the two teams above us after that match (Arsenal and United) had FAR more favourable run in's. If you take out City away which is a derby I can't think of one difficult fixture (on paper) United had to play after us.

Whilst going off topic the point I am trying to make is that for Spurs to be considered realistic title contenders you have to earn that right and in my eyes that right is not earnt until you have played some difficult away games and come out with some points. United last season did not have to do that because they won almost all of their home games and the challengers that year were poor and went on serious mid season blips. United have pedigree and have earnt the right to be called contenders each season, the same is true of Chelsea and used to be true of Arsenal, this is something you have not done and will take a title win or a near miss to earn in my view <ok>

Sorry, but that's nonsense. To be in the position we are in at this stage of the season, of course we are realistic contenders. Yes, we have to come away from City with something. However, I think we can. We are far more secure defensively than we were back in August, and going forward, we're as good as anybody in the Prem. Virtually nobody comes to WHL to play anymore - they come to survive. That's what we have to learn to overcome, the well orgasnised 10 behind the ball sides. With all of our top players fit, we are a match for anybody who actually wants to play.

Correction. We think we have a chance if we maintain our form. How many fans have said top 4 is the aim - anything else is a bonus? And how many have said that if we are in a strong position after this hard run of games then we can become serious challengers? More then you think!

DL makes some valid points but he just can't help making nasty little digs at our team with almost everything he posts

Man City WILL beat us on Sunday - would you agree Drogs? Did he also think blackburn would beat Man U at old trafford?

City beat United 6-1, Arsenal beat us 5-3 at home, United beat Arsenal 8-2, Blackburn beat United 3-2 at OT, We beat City 2-1 in a poor run of form.

What I'm saying is, nothing would surprise me now. I think City will win the title by a stretch but then us, you and United could finish anywhere inside the top four. Of course you're a threat but what district is saying is to wait until you've played the bigger teams away from home first!

And Superal, with people like Ensil on your board making digs at us every comment he can get I don't think District can be criticised here!

I think most of our fans will agree with that <ok>

If one person rubs you up the wrong way why take it out on everyone else?

Anyway isn't this thread meant to be about Arsenal <laugh>

Well said <ok>. One thing I hate is when people criticise Stoke for the way they play, usually teams like Liverpool and Arsenal tend to give them stick but I love it. Good to see 'beautiful' football can be dealt with by a lower league team who have the potential to make others drop points.

I expect you'll still be singing that song next time somebody like Wolves, or Stoke come to your place - park the bus, and nick a point, or maybe even all three?
