After several years of refusing to speak to the BBC and intermittent media snubs, Fergie is now refusing to speak to the club's own TV station MUTV. Whilst no official statement has come from Fergie or his representatives, it's believed that he is upset with the club's station after they broadcast his latest outburst on their station criticising ref Martin Atkinson after the Chelsea game. Fergie's loosed lipped outburst has led to an FA charge for improper conduct and he is looking at a touchline ban, Fergie wants to contest the charge, but the club, acutely aware of another charge (He already has two matches of a four-game touchline ban hanging over him as a suspended sentence for his criticisms of Alan Wiley in 2009) want him to accept the charge. If he doesn't and is found guilty he could be looking at a five match touchline ban. It's not the first time Fergie has thrown his toys out of the pram. He refused to speak to MUTV in 2005 when one of the presenters suggested that the team play a different formation. It took CE David Gill to intervene to calm things down. We all know that Fergie is a hothead - one only has to watch him berating the fourth official and turning a shade of his favourite red wine to see that he is a man who is often on the edge. Surely Fergie should take responsibility for his own actions - after all, he was the one who said the words, but instead he is trying to blame MUTV for the FA Charge, by acting like a Diva and refusing to speak to them.
I guess our rival fans were right. Sir Alex is the only manager who can say what he likes without being punished, never mind that other managers get away with criticising referees
From The Guardian's Daniel Taylor on Twitter: "MUFC say Sir Alex Ferguson not speaking to media after LFC defeat, including MUTV. Players under orders not to talk as well."
According to the BBC,Rio Ferdinand posted on Twitter congratulating Liverpool, apparently this post was removed almost immediately
Where'd you hear that? Rio tweeted "Bad result today no excuses" about five minutes after the result and it's still up: http://twitter.com/rioferdy5 SAF probably won't speak to anyone cos he's afraid he'll get a ban until 2021 if he says what's really on his mind...
I think maybe Fergie has carried out the threat that Harry Redknapp made after the Nani goal at OT - to impose a media blackout if he was charged for criticisng the ref. Without actually warning anyone first!
Manchester United winger Nani is unhappy that the club refused to complain publicly about Liverpool defender Jamie Carragher's tackle in Sunday's match that left the Portuguese player with a badly gashed shin. Neither Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson nor any of his players spoke to the media in the wake of the 3-1 defeat. Full story: the Guardian Carragher attempted to apologise to Nani after the match at Anfield but was refused access to the Manchester United dressing room. Full story: Daily Telegraph
Better reading that than some left wing strike orientated trotskyite left wing rag like the Daily Mirror or the Socialist Poncer
I only read the Morning Star(Incorporating the Daily Worker for peace and socialism ) so **** off you ****ing Ginger ****
