Ristac, he isn't god and doesnt make up for the whole team's errors. He makes a big difference in my eyes and i feel because of grayson trying to bring back becchio, it has affected us since Look, im not going to pick out any moment, but there is more than just getting assists that create goals. Im talking about movement off the ball to allow for players to run into the space he has just left (this is non-existent in becchio's game, a thing that is so huge in a striker's play), the small flicks he produces to speed up the play and give it that change of pace which the opposition struggle to deal with, the turns where he draws fouls in very strong areas (and even gets players sent off for it, his turns are better than any other player in the team). His work rate where he causes defenders to make mistakes and win the ball. There is so much to choose from, becchio provides none of this that i have stated in this post, he requires other players to do it for him
Well, I didnt. I always said he isn't good enough for this league even when he was scoring, I said we should replace him as he isn't good enough. Infact, I think I was the only one who said we should sell him in the summer to swansea for 2m
My point was - Last 10 games no matter what he did however good you feel his runs were we scored ONE goal while he was on the pitch. He is a striker for ****s sake, that means he either has to create or score goals, you can argue all you like about his movement and what he does, it obviously wasn't working with a 1/10 return then like I said I have no idea if his 'movement' created that ONE goal so it might be 0/10. Your goalkeeper hopefully saves a few shots, your defence hopefully prevents too many shots on goal and your midfield protects the defence and creates scoring opportunities, I haven't said anywhere that Keough should make up for team errors, I say he is a striker, one way or another we need goals, he proved he wasn't the answer. I smell something ..... When you are wrong or have changed your mind man up to it, you don't realise how silly this makes you look blaming it on someone else who happens to have the exact same writing style as you
Ristac, It doesnt have to be keogh (i'd prefer if it was, I think its time we agree to disagree on that) but i still think we need or rather want a hold-up style player better than becchio And honestly, I do man-up to when i make mistakes and have done before on this forum. That wasn't me, I realise this makes me look more guilty but take from it what you will
