A bit of info for fans at the Fulham game on Saturday. If you are like me and are travelling by train and are obviously wanting to get the tube to Fulham, here are some details.

Travel: Various tube line closures this weekend will indirectly affect supporters as follows:

    Circle: closed
District: no service between Earls Court & Aldgate East

However, Piccadilly line services and District line services between Earls Court and Putney Bridge are unaffected by scheduled engineering work.

Can any cockney mags tell me if these affect the route from Kings Cross. I must have been to London about 40 times for football and I am never good for remembering the tube.

We are on the 6 o clock train back, would it be quicker to just get a taxi if a few of us jumped in? The tube is ages away, I have a ****ed back from the car crash so there will be no jogging for me and I want a Chinese to take on the train.

    Any ideas?

I'm a northerner, but yes, it will affect you. You can walk if you have an A to Z, from pretty much anywhere though.

I'm hoping to get down early enough to have a drink in the 'Black Lion' on Bayswater Road and then get the tube from Bayswater to Putney Bridge.

We're going to the Dolphin again near Kings Cross then head to Fulham around 1.

I'm thinking taxi back to Kings Cross, it'll be quicker I reckon.

Your best bet is to walk next door to Euston and get the Overground to West Brompton. Not a massive walk from there :)

Can't be more than a 15 to 20 minute walk maximum.

It is probably the quickest way regardless. Sooooo many stops on the district line. I used to work in Gunnersbury in the west but lived in Bow in the east. Took well over an hour to travel not a massive distance!

Taxi won't cost much though when you're suffering with your back.

What will traffic be like? How long would a taxi take at that time?

Probably be a few of us arriving at the same time anyway, we can always share a cab.

Intended going by train but I've just had an email from one of the guys that ran coaches to the games and he's starting to run them again.

I'd prefer going by train but I'll have to give it a bit of thought now. Will let you know.
